Via Francesco Clarizia, 72014, Cisternino
Been here?
Large, free motorhome parking area near Cisternino’s historic centre, reachable on foot in about 10 minutes. Free drinking water, grey-water and cassette emptying are currently available, with a supermarket beside the parking area. Recent visitors found it useful and often quiet overnight, although local scooters and cars can cause noise late in the evening or at weekends. Access includes a steep ramp, with a newer, less steep entrance from Via Sabastiano Caboto.

Very large, quiet parking area, except that local youths ride back and forth doing wheelies on their scooters until 11 p.m. During the night, two cars revved their engines. Otherwise, it is a shame because it is very peaceful. Ten minutes on foot from the historic center, with free water refill and waste disposal. Thanks to the municipality. Bins are available. Around 8 p.m., a fox walks along the olive trees looking for food.
Very large parking area with water and gray-water disposal. We arrived around 5 p.m.; everything was quiet and the parking area was completely empty. Unfortunately, around 9 p.m., a group of young people on scooters disturbed the evening's peace with wheelies, full-throttle starts, and constant scooter noise. We had to leave. We will return tomorrow to visit Cisternino.
Good for visiting the town and for the loading and unloading facilities. Less good for sleeping, as young people ride around on motorcycles and in cars until late.
Excellent place for an overnight stay and a visit to the center. Good location for Ostuni and Locorotondo/Alberobello. Quiet night. Gray- and black-water disposal and drinking water available. Highly recommended!
Spacious parking area; our 7.43-meter vehicle had no problems. Free services for dumping gray water and cassette waste, plus drinking-water refill. We spent one very peaceful night. Recommended.
Everything is fine, especially don't forget to visit the old town.
Good place to discover beautiful Cisternino. The gray-water and drinking-water facilities are working well, and there are some garbage bins. Today, construction began on the structure of a park; I believe the parking area will become crowded.
Perfect for visiting the historic center. The service point works with good water pressure for fresh water and gray water. Perfect!
Large parking area; we spent a very quiet night. Gray-water disposal and fresh-water refill are possible. Free. For black-water disposal, apparently one of the ground grates must be lifted, then rinsed with your own hose. Supermarket right next door, historic center ten minutes away on foot.
Perfect for emptying gray water and refilling drinking water, ten minutes on foot from the historic center. We did not stay overnight.
Perfect. Many thanks, Cisternino!
A very large parking area with free services. Thanks to the municipality of this splendid and very typical village, whose historic center deserves a visit. However, at the weekend there is some car traffic at night. Otherwise, it is perfect!
Thanks to the municipality for letting us use this large parking area day and night. We emptied the gray and black water and refilled with drinking water; recycling bins are available. Thank you for respecting the place.
As described. Very large, free, and quiet parking area. Six hundred meters from the charming historic center. All services work well. For black water, you need to lift the gray-water grate. Thanks to the town.
We spent a quiet night here with five other motorhomes. The parking area is very spacious and well located for visiting the small but very pleasant old town. It is worth visiting. Thanks to the municipality for this area.
Not very cosy but still a great spot. We didn't spend the night but used the facilities available - thank you!
This is not really a motorhome area, as there are no signs, not even for the dump station located at the end of the square. It is a large, little-used parking area. There is no separate black-water dump; everything is emptied into the same drain, and then the grate is cleaned thoroughly. Quiet night. The historic center is five minutes away, very pretty and worth visiting!
We did not stay overnight, but we refilled our water and emptied everything, and it was excellent. It is really nice that this can be done for free. The water pressure was also good.
Perfect, as described. Two nights and two days without any problems. Very quiet and spacious parking area. All services are working today. Good Iliad internet reception.
Used for services only. We can confirm things were still functional on 10 March. It is not entirely clear whether or not black waste is supposed to be poured down the grey water drain, which has a fine grille, but there is no other obvious place. There is a second tap for cassette rinsing, so presumably black waste is meant to go somewhere!
Very basic but working loading and unloading facilities, with drinking and non-drinking water. No electricity. The parking area is very well lit, and we did not stay overnight. Thanks to the municipality of Cisternino, the only one in the area providing this service, even if minimally.
Very good for visiting Cisternino and for fresh-water and wastewater services. I have doubts about staying overnight peacefully, because scooter races and tests take place in the large parking area in the evening. Due to overflowing garbage bins, rubbish is scattered around the lot.
The ramp on Via Clarizia has been repaired and no longer causes problems for motorhomes entering or leaving.
Many spaces available and large trash cans available. There is an area for dumping gray water, but it is a little difficult to use because the drain has raised asphalt around it. It worked while we made a quick visit to town, but we did not feel it was a particularly nice area to sleep in, even though it certainly works when needed.
Unfortunately, I agree with the previous comment. Several groups of young people took turns making noise, with loud music, honking, and even fireworks at 1:45 a.m. on a Friday night in January. A shame, because the area is spacious and flat. It was difficult even with earplugs.
Impossible to stay here and rest overnight- locals using this place for party the night. Not recommended.
Pretty good spot to spend a night or two. The ramp is perfectly manageable up and down. You can drain Grey Water, lift up the grate to do your cassette. The hose connection is the bigger size, so your hose probably won't fit without the right adapter. The city is quiet at night, a good laundry, bakery, grocery store and pizzeria are nearby.
Thanks to the municipality! Free water refill and dumping facilities (bring a one-inch large water fitting), and free parking. Quiet at night. Convenient for reaching the town.
The area is in the lower part of town and is not an equipped motorhome area. Much more could be done, given the events organized by the municipality. Not very suitable for people with disabilities trying to reach the town. The surface is asphalt, the spaces are very large, and it is lit. The area is quiet and partly overlooks the Itria Valley. For us, it was useful as a transit stop.
Spacious, large, lit, and flat. Perfect for visiting the center.
Convenient and quiet for sleeping. Thanks to the town hall for providing this area, which lets us visit the place comfortably. Note: the tap does not have the usual thread; it is larger.
Excellent for water refill, dumping, and garbage disposal. Thanks to the municipality for this area. Very crowded with motorhomes in December. For sleeping, I preferred the parking area on the opposite side of town, perhaps also closer to the center.
Well located and probably quiet at night. It was also well occupied in November.
At a glance this is a great spot. Water, gray and black dump ( though in the same drain), trash, market, pizza, laundry and even a winery and walking distance to the center. There's even ebike charging stations. However, locals use the area as a street to get from one end to the other, and there was activity past midnight. I can't imagine how busy this would be in the summer.
Interesting spot to stay, in town, but quiet at night. Good pizzeria, only at night, and a laundromat are near by. The bakery is very good. Market in the basement of a building next door. Dump services are positioned oddly, and the water has the big spigot that your hose probably won't work with. Needs an adapter. Trash and Recycling is available.
Large, pleasant parking area. High water pressure, bins, and dump facilities; black water is possible by simply lifting the grate. Impeccable! The entrance is new, so there are no more overhang-clearance problems. The historic center is magnificent.
Service is working fine. Garbage container can be full because cleaned only 2 times per week. Parking is large, and you can park anywhere. Supermarket, bakery, and laundry nearby. We spent a week in total there. Calm nights. Recommend.
Very large parking area, ten to fifteen minutes on foot from the old town. We were six motorhomes. Thanks to the town hall.
Great big carpark. A few large camper vans were already parking there. Great spot to get water (drinkable) and empty your wastewater. We did not stay for the night just stopped on our way to use the facilities. 10-15 mins walk to the historical centre of the town.
Large free parking area, excellent for visiting the beautiful village of Cisternino, about twenty minutes on foot. We did not sleep there; we were alone.
Large parking area, close to the town center. Perfect for one night, although there was indeed noise until late. A group of people with tuned cars parked at the other end of the lot; they did not bother us except for the loud music. It remains a pleasant and free place.
Large parking area, perfect for a quiet, noise-free night, with water services.
It can work for visiting the town. Certainly enjoyable for street-art enthusiasts.
Convenient for the center, five minutes away, with a bakery just a few meters away. I confirm the car races, music, and late-night shouting, at least on Saturday night, but it was not excessive and did not disturb the motorhomes.
Excellent place to visit the town, which is truly beautiful. Absolutely avoid staying overnight because of young people's car races in the parking area and continuous shouting until 3 a.m., as already reported. It is a shame, because it would otherwise have been an excellent, spacious, and well-lit overnight stop.
