E6 50, 2630, Ringebu
Been here?
This is a campsite with freely chosen pitches directly beside a scenic river, including large spaces near the water. Clean sanitary facilities, potable water, grey- and black-water disposal, and free showers are available. The E6 is audible, mainly during the day, and there are only 2 showers. Dogs cost extra.

Beautiful spot right by the water, large pitches and free choice of where to park. Sanitary facilities have a youth-hostel feel but are okay. Dogs cost extra.Translating
Free choice of where to park, beautifully located by the water. Magnificent view of the turquoise water. Toilets are okay, showers are free. The children's playground is also great.Translating
Free choice of where to park; we stood directly by the river. All sanitary facilities are available and clean. You can hear the road, but for us the wind drowned it out. We stayed one night and greatly enjoyed the view. There is also a good path for walking the dog. We highly recommend the place.Translating
Very good place on a beautiful river. Clean sanitary facilities and very nice staff. The female operator immediately recognized that we were from Germany and spoke fluent German—a lovely surprise.Translating
Beautifully located by the river, but unfortunately the E6 is behind it; this is only somewhat bothersome during the day. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained, although there are only two showers, which is a bit few when the site is full. However, we easily found a free shower. If you want to empty your toilet, do it at the beginning or end of your stay, because the nicest quiet spots are quite far from the sanitary building. Otherwise, everything is very well maintained and clean, and the lady at reception is very friendly and even speaks German!Translating
Well-located campsite by a river that resembles a lake. Ideal location for visiting the beautiful Ringebu stave church. Immaculate and plentiful sanitary facilities. The only drawback is the nearby road, although it does not prevent sleeping.Translating
Really lovely campsite with a sweet host. Good facilities. Lovely pitches with a great view.Translating
Beautiful, clean campsite. The shower and toilet facilities are somewhat old, but clean and well maintained. German-speaking reception. You can hear the road a little, but it is okay. Firewood for grilling is available free of charge.Translating
We stayed here for one night while passing through. In the off-season, you could choose your own pitch. The campsite is beautifully located on the riverbank, but unfortunately the E6 highway is directly audible. The sanitary facilities are very clean and sufficient in number.Translating
Large campsite, very clean but somewhat dated sanitary facilities. Friendly owner. You simply choose where to park and go to the small kiosk after 5 p.m. to pay. We paid NOK 400 for a camper with electricity (2 adults and a baby). Showers are free. One star deducted because you can hear the road and train. The road is also heavily trafficked at night.Translating
Very nice site directly by the water. There are sufficient sanitary facilities and they are clean!Translating
Late arrival was possible even at the end of the season. Choice of pitch. The ground is relatively flat and grassy right up to the river. Nice proximity to the river and views of the mountains. Clean sanitary facilities included in the price. Grey-water and toilet disposal. Drinking water available to fill the tank. I recommend it for a break before Lillehammer.Translating
Addition to the previous review: showers are free of charge.Translating
Beautiful campsite, super clean. Toilets, showers, and wash cubicles are available. Directly by the water with a beautiful view. Since we arrived early, we went for a short hike. You can choose your own pitch. We had a wonderfully quiet night and would come again.Translating
Very beautiful, well-maintained site with plenty of space, a cabin with firewood provided for cozy seating, a fire pit, barbecue, and sufficient sanitary facilities. You can choose your own pitch. Canoes are available for rent. You can hear the road, but it did not bother us.Translating
The site is very well maintained. We were able to park directly by the water with our car and rooftop tent and had a dreamlike view of the river. Many guests went swimming in the river. The sanitary facilities are very clean and the staff extremely friendly. We would come back at any time. It is the best site we have stayed at so far.Translating
Very good campsite, clean sanitary facilities, spacious pitches, nice view, and swimming possible! You can empty grey water and toilets and fill up with drinking water.Translating
Worth it just for the view of the river! Clean facilities, friendly welcome, and reasonable price. You can easily walk from here to Ringebu stave church (about 1 km).Translating
Very beautiful site. Friendly welcome. Free choice of pitch. Very clean sanitary facilities. Not overcrowded. Small kiosk. Nice playground. Small bathing cove. We have nothing to complain about.Translating
We had a wonderful stay here, loved it! Great location right by the water, perfect for swimming. There’s a grill with firewood too. Helpful and friendly staff, I could put water tanks in the freezer. Very clean sanitary facilities, showers cost a 10 NOK coin for 4 min though. We booked a car with tent spot through Campcation for 310 NOK but when we paid for another night on site it was 360 NOK.
Between the noise from the road and the train, you must not be too sensitive to noise.Translating
Spacious pitches directly by the water, but also right next to the motorway. The motorway noise was not too bad at night, but still noticeable. There is a playground for children. Downsides: only two showers for men for such a large campsite, and coin-operated showers (NOK). Why not tokens, to avoid dealing with foreign currency? The Ringebu stave church is within walking distance (about 1.5 km).
Beautiful site directly on the river with free choice of pitch and no fixed plots. The sanitary facilities are not new, but very clean. During the day you can hear the road and an occasional train, but in the evening and at night it was very quiet. Ringebu stave church is about a 10–15 minute walk away.
Super-beautiful site by the river. Very fair price of NOK 390 for a motorhome with two people, including fishing. Showers cost NOK 10 for five minutes. A visit to the stave church, only a few minutes away, with its beautiful churchyard and small exhibition is highly worthwhile.
Very nice campsite with a perfect location at the river. Staff super friendly and the facilities are nice and clean. I dislike having to pay for the shower, but it is what it is.
As already described, a beautiful site directly by the river. Free choice of pitch. No marked plots, but always enough space; you are not packed in tightly. Showers cost 10 kroner, and a washing machine or dryer costs 50 kroner each. Coins can be purchased at reception. Because of the proximity to the E6, you can naturally hear the cars. We found it perfectly fine for an overnight stay and would gladly return.
Beautiful campsite with free choice of location. There is enough space, so you are not parked too close together. You can also park directly by the water. The sanitary facilities are very clean and tidy. We would happily come here again.
Very well-kept site. We had a direct view of the river and enough space. You can hear the road and the train, but despite that we had a quiet night.
Very beautiful site. From here you can take a very nice day trip via the old Riksway 10 to Dovrefjell and Dombås, then return via the E6.
A normal price by Norwegian standards. Beautifully located, very clean, and very friendly.
Beautiful campsite. Great view, directly by the river. Good value for money, but you have to pay NOK 10 for a four-minute shower. The rest is as described.
