4 Börstel, 49626, Berge
Been here?
A quiet mixed parking area beside the historic Börstel collegiate church, surrounded by forest and walking trails. It is suited to one or two nights of relaxing in nature, although occasional dog barking can continue at night. Water and electricity are available on request, and parking costs 5€. The access road is uneven and the site may sometimes be used for building-material storage.

We spent 2 wonderful days here in peaceful surroundings. Occasionally the dogs barked, including at night. One of the ladies from the convent said that there must have been wildlife nearby. Anyone who loves nature and prefers to stay away from overcrowded pitches is exactly right here. It is a shame that there is not a single rubbish bin. But that does not matter; take your rubbish with you, as usual!
We had already been coming here for several years and always found it a pleasant, quiet place with a beautiful walking area next door. Unfortunately, it had now become a building-materials storage area, and two large dogs were running in the piece of land next to the site and barking regularly, including at night. That is why we left in the middle of the night for the parking area by the road to get some sleep.
A very beautiful and idyllic place.
A lovely place for 1 or 2 nights. Really dark in the evening—how wonderful is that? We sat outside happily, listening to and watching the owls flying back and forth.
Magical peace, friendly people and pure nature.
Very idyllic, quiet place (when the lawnmower is off). Hiking trails border the site. €5 just for parking? Hmm.
Beautiful, peaceful place to relax, with an excellent walking area right next door. We love coming here.
This would actually have been exactly our kind of place. Beautifully secluded with hiking trails. Several horse trailers and cars were parked on the site. At first we hoped that some cars might leave. Instead, we spent the night between a trailer parked across the way and a BMW. We wanted to sit outside a bit on the first nice weekend, but this was too unpleasant for us. We moved on.
Beautiful place to relax or go hiking. There are currently two wolf packs active in the forest. Keep dogs on a leash and stay on the paths.
Beautiful spot in wonderful surroundings.
Beautiful, right next to the old Börstel collegiate church. Payment can be left in the mailbox. The electricity connection is hidden under a feed barrel at the edge. Access from the road is very uneven and not signposted, but the satnav finds the address.
I was able to spend a night here the day before yesterday. Very interesting setting and highly recommended. I was greeted very warmly in the morning. The chickens make a lovely alarm clock in the morning, reminding me of my childhood. You can take wonderful walks and hikes in the woods right next to the parking area. I’d gladly come back!
Quiet place and reasonable at 5 Euro given the lack of facilities. Was a bit of a squash as we were the third van to arrive and the others had not parked well. Payment by cash in box . Noisy cockerels in the morning!
We spent two very good, peaceful nights here (bells at 7:45 and the rooster crowing a little before 5 a.m., though! I’m deducting one star for that). The access road is a somewhat damaged paved green road with potholes, but we managed it without any problem in our 7.2 m vehicle. A cloister, a small stream, and hiking trails in the forest. Paradise for us!
