Camping Am See

We were passing through and were squeezed between two hedges on one of the transit pitches, overlooking the many unattractive permanent-camper pitches that block the view of the truly beautiful lake. At €32, it is definitely too expensive.

€35 for a motorhome pitch for one night; grey-water disposal is not indicated and showers cost extra!

Nice welcome. Mrs. Knittel makes many things possible. We were able to get a place spontaneously with our 8-meter vehicle and a small trailer, and even extend our stay by another day. The showers are very clean; do not forget 50 cents. You can take a lovely walk along the pond. We give the restaurant only 3.5 stars. The old town is well worth seeing, especially when the market is on.

Beautifully located campsite directly on the pond, with swimming access. We had not reserved, but the friendly owner allowed us to stay in the parking area for one night and use all the campsite facilities at a very reasonable price. The site is older, but very well maintained.

The playground is not new, but we did not need it. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. 50 cents for 6 minutes.

Pleasant welcome, very friendly and helpful. Check-in is done at a machine with the owner's assistance. I got a very nice pitch with access to the lake. The campsite restaurant was closed, so they recommended Restaurant Sonne. Delicious and inexpensive. Swimming in the lake is wonderful and refreshing. It was 30 degrees when I was there. Many permanent campers, but they were not bothersome.

Excellent location on the beautiful swimming pond, with some shade from the trees, and good food next door. Friendly and helpful, very quiet. The facilities are somewhat old, but clean and functional. Recommended!

Quite expensive! Tiny pitch, showers cost extra, sanitary facilities are outdated. There is a playground, but it is completely run down. Check-in and check-out can only be done at a machine and takes extremely long. You have to provide all your personal details, even your ID number. But the caretaker is very nice!

Quite expensive! We paid €81 for two nights for two people, a dog and electricity. Showers cost extra. Everything is very run-down; the shower was broken and the electricity sometimes did not work in the sanitary facilities. Extremely small pitch—we barely fit with our bus. No room to sit or set up a table. No lighting in the evening. Overall, disappointing for the price.

Although the site closes on September 15, they would have welcomed us, but the only available pitch was too narrow for a motorhome. Negative point: there is no drinking-water tap for filling the tanks.

Idyllic campsite directly on the lake with a sunbathing lawn and swimming jetty. Mostly permanent campers, with only a few pitches for holidaymakers. Be sure to reserve online in advance! We parked our motorhome directly by the lake for €32 per night. A few minutes from the motorway. Very quiet at night. No entry possible from 12:00 to 14:00.

Great site on the shore of the pond. Sanitary facilities are good and clean, the staff are very friendly, and Wi-Fi is available. We really enjoyed our two nights here. Thank you very much.

We spontaneously got a pitch directly by the lake. Despite being close to the motorway, you can hardly hear it. The sanitary facilities are somewhat older but clean and well maintained. The pitch was the perfect size. Restaurant directly next to the site, and vending machines at reception provide barbecue meat. The only deduction: the sunbathing lawn was rather muddy, but the operator cannot be blamed for that.
