A free, secluded parking area on Dover Western Heights overlooking Dover town, with walks nearby and views of the north side of the town. It has a height barrier suitable for campers but not motorhomes, and the approach is steep and the parking strongly sloped. Cars may arrive throughout the night, usually quietly, and the port is close. There are no services.

Great place to stay for an early ferry. Hight limit is well over 2.2m (barrier is bent so maybe about 2.5m in the middle). 1 car turned up and left straight away. There is on street parking on the main road but it's on a hill.
Beautiful view. It was very quiet and great for hiking. We slept here after the ferry crossing and will do so again on the return journey. The height restriction and very steep access road should be noted, but I had no problems with my T5 despite the roof racks. Many people came and went the next day. There is some rubbish by the roadside, but I can live with that. There is also a bin on site.
Not recommended! We parked here to catch the earlier ferry. During the night the smaller and bigger gangsters of Dover were parking here, listening to loud music, being drunk, screaming around. Felt very unsafe!
Good place for at least six vehicles before or after the ferry, no services, somewhat dirty. Height limit about 2.20 m. View of the city, not the sea or harbour.
The space is available again! 20 June 2026. Quiet road, not much traffic.
