Mountain parking, cold nights

One of the most beautiful overnight places in the Alps. The pass closes at 8 p.m., so make sure you pass through the toll gates before then. We slept wonderfully peacefully.

We stayed on the Austrian side to avoid being fined. The parking area below the restaurant is slightly sloped, and we were disturbed by the restaurant alarm, which kept going off. We went higher up, near the monument, still on the asphalt just before the crossing into Italy. We had a very peaceful night.

Wonderful pitch with an exceptional view of the surrounding mountains. Until 8 p.m. it is frequented by Porsches and Ferraris; after 8 p.m., marmots dance.

Beware, the Italian police come to check that nobody is on the Italian side! We slept in the bend on the Austrian side without any problem. Superb place.

Very beautiful and free of charge. We spent a peaceful but very cold night here. Bring enough blankets! Please keep the place clean so that it can remain legal.

I had a wonderful night here. In the evening it was foggy and stormy, but overnight the skies cleared and gave me a magnificent sunrise. Coming from Austria, the right-hand side below the projecting museum, on asphalt, is flatter than the gravel area up to the left. This part is also still in Austria ;)

We also wanted to spend a night here. Naturally, we obeyed the no-entry restriction. But around 10 p.m., the Italian police arrived, and the overnight stay cost us and two other campers €350.

A breathtaking spot at 2,500 meters. Toll fee €19; access possible until 8 p.m. Absolutely recommended; please do not engage in camping behavior!

Gravel area with space for five or six buses. The place was busy, but we spent a peaceful night there. The pass closes at 8 p.m., so you should arrive before then.

Wonderful view, with a small museum about the construction of the Timmelsjoch. Absolutely quiet from 8 p.m. onward, apart from the pleasantly soft tinkling of sheep bells. Gravel surface, partly slightly sloped and partly completely level.

Beautiful viewpoint. We did not stay overnight but stopped for lunch. Many motorcyclists during the day.

We spent a wonderful and very peaceful night here. Thanks to the nighttime driving ban, it is very quiet. As described in the other comments, you must be at the toll station before 8 p.m., otherwise you cannot get onto the pass. The €18 toll is absolutely worth it, because the view is simply magnificent!

Exceptional night with a 360-degree view of the mountains. This is exactly the kind of night for which we love holidays in a camper van.
