Camping St Ilona

We spent two nights in this oasis of peace and tranquillity. The owner is kind and helpful. Excellent facilities, with new and spotlessly clean bathrooms. A 15-minute walk from the bus. We highly recommend it as a stop along the route to Budapest.✦Translating

I needed a site with good facilities and quiet after several nights wild camping. This family run place was perfect with 4 washing machines and an outside drying area. The hostess was really helpful and the restaurant good too. The pool was closed, but that wasn’t an issue for me with the lake just 15 mins away by bike.

The camping is great! Located in a private house area, but in your own peace. The toilets and showers are clean, there are plenty of them. The area is beautiful dry grass, several trees. Electricity is ok, included in the price. The swimming pool is a great addition! Nice cool water, especially since the temperature was 35-39°C all day. The staff is nice. The restaurant next door is great!

We stayed at this campsite in August. The owner welcomed us with great kindness and courtesy. The campsite is very clean, quiet and reasonably shaded. There is a lovely csárda on site with an excellent menu and carefully prepared dishes. The only downside is that the campsite is a little expensive: €36 for a pitch with electricity for two people. Otherwise, everything was fine.✦Translating

The campsite is mainly occupied by Dutch and German guests. Friendly atmosphere on the site. Sanitary facilities in good condition and clean. No grey-water disposal. €32 for an adequate pitch for two people including electricity (not for cooking). Electricity for air-conditioning costs extra. Covered communal tent with table tennis, table football, darts and seating areas. Small pool for cooling off.✦Translating
