28 Via Martina Franca, 72014, Cisternino
Been here?
A free parking place near Cisternino’s center, with a spectacular view and no camper services. The old town is reached in about 5-10 minutes on foot by stairs and a path. The parking and approach are steep, so vehicles may not stand level, especially after rain when mud can develop. A nearby dog area has free water, reached via stairs, and the place suits smaller motorhomes.

Very convenient parking area, very close to Cisternino, with a fountain nearby. Latina is also very close, no more than a glance away. No dumping facilities, but free parking with a spectacular view.
Basically a fine place to spend one night, but very steep, so you cannot stand completely level. Quite muddy when it rains.
Meh, it is steep. I do not see the point of staying overnight when there is a nearby free motorhome area that is completely level.
We used this spot for a day visit to Cisternino - which is a really lovely little gem: one of our highlights, so far, of Puglia. The parking is perfect for this purpose and really very pleasant. The dog exercise area with its benches was also a nice bonus for our four-legged companions.
More suitable for visiting the town than for spending the night. Somewhat sloping with a steep approach—not suitable for very long motorhomes.
Very good for visiting the village; we spent the night without any problems and it was very quiet. Good tip.
Sloped spot, beautiful view, close to the town center, quiet, with a water point and shops, plus lovely little streets and restaurants. I recommend it; we had a very peaceful night in our van.
Very good for visiting the old town, which is 5–10 minutes on foot. We stayed for a few hours during the day without any problems. No amenities.
It is too tight for an 8 m motorhome; even with the overhang, you extend beyond it. The water point is below and accessible only by stairs. There are also quite a lot of cars parking there now.
Stayed here for one night. Somewhat sloping, but sufficient for a stopover and doing laundry. Quiet at night.
We parked here during the day to visit the town. The ground is somewhat sloped but quite manageable. There is a fountain in the dog area. If you have a dog, BE CAREFUL! There is loose straw that can become embedded in or enter its body. We ended up at the vet because of indigestion. If you do not have a dog, it is perfect.
Parking area closed today. Posts and barriers prevent access. I did not want to lower the rating because of that.
Quiet and clean. Unfortunately somewhat uneven; you can only park lengthwise across several spaces and need high leveling blocks.
Very convenient to visit the city & hikes in the area. We didn’t spend the night, shared with cars, ppl were friendly. There’s a place to turn around, unfortunately, one camper decided it’s the perfect place to park (seriously??? the parking was empty!!) and made what could have been an easy manoeuvring of our 7m camper into a challenge. Super Green & relaxed spot. Lovely views.
We slept here for one night; there was another camper. Quiet and safe parking, with a few cars passing in search of privacy in the evening and someone walking their dog in the adjacent dog exercise area. It is sloping, so leveling blocks are needed. With a 7 m vehicle, space is tight for possible maneuvers by other vehicles, but we found it empty.
Free parking very close to the town center. Used during the day to visit the village; we did not sleep here. Access is uphill just after the service station, but it is easy. Slightly sloping.
We stayed for 3 nights. Quiet at night. Cars during the day. No services. You must enter from below, via the gas station, even though Maps sends you from above.
Couldn’t find the place, which actually never happens to us! As described earlier, the navigation takes you too high into the village. The free camper spot is a better and easier-to-find alternative nearby, close to the center.
Not easy to find with Google Maps, which sends you uphill even though the parking is downhill. There is a dog area with water. Perfect for one night, slightly sloping.
