63790, Chambon-sur-Lac
Been here?
A secluded forest-edge spot with a great view, suitable for one van or small camper. Access is by a rocky dirt track, with a steep lower section and low trees; avoid it in heavy rain without a 4x4 because of mud. It is very quiet and sheltered from wind, but can be dark and affected by flies.

Lovely spot, but beware of two things: 1) the gravel road is interrupted by dirt tracks. In heavy rain, do not go there without a 4x4 because there is a high risk of getting stuck. 2) Caravans with rooftop tents are not recommended because the trees are quite low. Otherwise, great; the cows are very curious! Worth seeing if the conditions do not scare you!
Perfect shade in hot weather, but space for only one van. Avoid going all the way down; the slope is too steep!
Accessible only to vans, via a gravel road. Please take your toilet paper with you after relieving yourself, as it spoils the landscape ;-)
Very quiet, we saw nobody, somewhat sheltered from the wind, but a little dark and with flies.
Very, very beautiful spot; be careful, you need to arrive early. Between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., five vehicles showed up. Please pick up your toilet paper and put it in your bin; unfortunately, there is a lot scattered around this beautiful spot.
An idyllic spot in the middle of nature, sheltered from view. Two excellent nights for vans only; bring leveling blocks.
Very good pitch, the only shaded spot with a superb view! Accessible only to vans.
Really great! You can hear the road a little higher up, but at night there is almost no traffic.
