Been here?
This is a natural viewpoint overlooking the Pulo chasm, with tables and benches but no shade or water. The view is beautiful and the surroundings are peaceful. Overnight parking is prohibited in the national park, with several signs stating this restriction.

Overnight parking is prohibited. National park. Many signs indicate this. It is a beautiful place with tables and benches. Unfortunately, we did not see much because it was almost dark when we arrived. We respect this and drove on.Translating
peaceful place to spend the night, only a couple cars came past, clean and a lovely view of the sink hole.
we spent a night day before a climbing day in the sinkhole. it was peaceful, although some locals came to ?smoke? ?other? in the morning we moved to the other point marked in this area which seemed less visited by locals, so we would recommend that one as choice. very beautiful area and interesting geological spot. no services and limited cell coverage
Magnificent, excellent in the off-season, with no shade. In Altamura, do not miss the bakery-restaurant that bakes its bread in an oven dating from... 1423!Translating
Great spot in the middle of nature. Guaranteed sunset and lovely walks. Quiet night.Translating
I do not recommend it in peak season; there is a procession of cars until 9 or 10 p.m. It is better to go farther away for more peace and quiet. There is indeed a sign prohibiting camping, but we slept without any problems. Perfect parking for visiting the sinkhole, with a picnic table available, but in full sun.Translating
We were at this beautiful place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, and spent the night there without any problems. There is now an information sign with rules of conduct, including a notice prohibiting camping. After checking with a local, the place may still be used as a motorhome stopover.Translating
Breathtaking panorama of the Pulo di Altamura. At night, a few cars came and went, but they did not bother us.Translating
Beautiful sunset view. Unfortunately, the place is poorly maintained and there was rubbish all around. Around midnight, cars arrived with young people who talked and listened to music until dawn. Perhaps we were unlucky.Translating
Very lovely place. Fairly clean compared with others, though you should not look too closely. However, locals came to drink beer and chat from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.; they were very noisy and left their rubbish when they left, so we had a short night. We were there on a Thursday night in September.Translating
The place is very beautiful and level, but there are several dog droppings. There is only one small tree for shade. We stayed there during Ferragosto week, on Friday, and in the evening various couples came by car; they did not stop near us but were passing through. All in all, we slept well and stayed cool thanks to a nice breeze. No bins or drinking fountains.Translating
Superb place in the middle of nature and very quiet. Relaxing surroundings. Short hikes in and around the sinkhole. Very well located between Bari, Altamura, and Matera for exploring the region. Highly recommended for nature lovers.Translating
Very beautiful place in nature. Many people come to watch the sunset, but it is quiet after 10 p.m. Very quiet in the morning; until noon there are very few people. Little shade if it is very hot. Unfortunately, quite a lot of rubbish on the ground. Climbing is possible, but only from September to December, outside the birds' nesting season.Translating
