Roadside parking facing Mont Blanc beside Lac de Joux Plane, at 1700m, with superb mountain and lake views. It is generally peaceful at night and offers many hiking departures, while a restaurant serving breakfast and coffee is 3 min walk away. There are no services, and the mountain road has plenty of bends. Cow bells may sound at 6h30 on some mornings.

Extraordinary, grandiose view of Mont Blanc. Quiet at night, with a wide choice of hikes.
Superb view of Mont Blanc and very quiet despite the Harley Days.
We spent two nights here. A beautiful spot for spending the night, with an unbeatable view of Mont Blanc at sunrise and also at sunset. Very quiet spot. If you do not like the sound of cowbells—one night out of two—early in the morning at 6:30 a.m., move on. A few insects, but ultimately this is nature, so 5/5 for this spot.
Incredible view of Mont Blanc. We were not supposed to sleep here, but the view convinced us. Very crowded at the beginning of August; arrive around 6 p.m. to find a place. This is a parking area, so be careful not to spread out too much. Start of a magnificent hike along the ridges, with views of Mont Blanc all the way. Small restaurant nearby.
Great stopover. Loads of space, even in mid August. Beautiful view and very little traffic at night. Restaurant only 3 min walk away that does breakfast and coffee.

Great views of surrounding mountains & lake. Plenty of parking. There were a few vans when we stayed in July with room for more. Cow migration from the nearby farm across the mountain was pretty special with all the bells and we were able to watch the Bastille fireworks in the valley below after night fell.
lovely spot for a night, very peaceful gorgeous views, this spot is looking down to the lake not directly by it so a few less midges ! walked round to watch the sunset, beautiful.
Cool, level, beautiful view. BUT: at 10 p.m., the English van next door had friends arrive by car, driving around, revving the engine, playing music, etc., followed by car horns from vehicles passing at midnight among all the vans in the spots before and after… In the morning: a bus with 50 people parked.
Great parkup. 1700m altitude. Mountain road with plenty of bends. No services. Fast 4G.. Beautiful views. Plenty of vans, motorcycles & cyclists. Recommend.
Lots of space. Spectacular views of Mont Blanc. Starting point for many hikes. Let us all preserve the place.
