Daytime parking, length restriction

Until 2025, overnight stays with a camper were possible without any problems; today they are prohibited. For a designated bike region, this is completely incomprehensible. Most mountain bikers travel with a camper or van, not to a hotel. Without pitches in the surrounding area, Saalbach is driving away its target audience. Other regions show that it can be done better—for example, the campsite at the Asitzbahn.

We come to Saalbach 1–2 times a year; until now, sleeping here was never a problem. The entire parking lot was always full of campers. When we arrived today (at night), the parking lot was completely empty and there was a sign threatening a €70 fine. It is a shame that things are made so difficult. I don't understand why they don't simply charge €5–10 for parking at night. That would still be an acceptable price.

We were here with the motorhome for the MTB marathon. No problem at all, despite the prohibition signs. Public toilets 200 m uphill, available during the cable car's opening hours. Bicycle washing station Everything tip-top

Maximum 6 m. Anything larger blocks passageways and is removed from the site. Overnight parking is not allowed.

The parking lot has since been paved. In summer, you can sometimes stay for 24 hours. Ideal for mountain biking. In winter, parking is possible until 10 p.m.
