Lake parking, smells and mosquitoes

An isolated overnight parking place overlooking the lakes and their birds, including flamingos. There is no shade, but the location offers excellent views and access to a cycling route around the basin. Mosquitoes may be present, and recent visitors reported a strong smell of fish waste, sewage or brackish water. Some comments also mention dirt around the parking area.

Basically a quiet place with a great view. However, it smells so strongly of fish waste and sewage/brackish water that I cannot spend the night here. It is probably suitable for less sensitive people or when the wind is blowing differently.
We did not find a space, but it would have been wonderful to sleep there! Lake view with flamingos! We only passed through!
Excellent place for seeing flamingos and other birds. The place is very isolated, there is no shade, and unfortunately when we were there, there was a strong sewage smell and quite a lot of rubbish around. Waking up with a view of the salt marsh was beautiful, but I would not give it more than three stars.
Enjoyed our stay and 1 night here. Summer solstice but didn't expected being woken by a fire works display. Only one other camper. Enjoyed a 4mile return walk along the waterways.Very hot but great breeze kept it comfortable and most of the mosequitos away.
Wonderful view, ideal as a stopover point for cycling around the basin.
We slept here for one night, very peaceful and on the shore of the lagoon, with a pleasant awakening. In February we were the only ones there. Accessible to motorhomes. In the morning we met a kind gentleman who showed us his restaurant nearby, worth trying, but for now it is open on Saturdays and Sundays.
