This is free on-road parking on an A23 slip road, near the Plough Inn and a petrol station with Marks & Spencer. It is well lit and has been used overnight by several vans, but fast traffic and lorries rock vehicles and create very loud road noise. The pub offers food, and the location provides convenient motorway access and is about 10 minutes’ drive from Brighton.

Slept here last night! Few other vans ? Long term!! Felt safe as well lit. Fast cars going past do rock the van but I didn’t find that an issue ! Road noise from the A23 would be an issue for light sleepers though! The Plough pub does great food and the M and S at the service station is usually well stocked ( hackers permitting!)
Scary road noise, with lorries passing at speed.
As a heavy sleeper I didn’t have much trouble with the traffic noise and the gentle rocking of the van as people raced past kept me sleeping. This spot seems popular with other vanlifers. The staff at the plough are very friendly so certainly recommend giving them your business.
Ok spot after a long day of driving and you are tired but extremely loud even with ear plugs. Convenient location though, easy to get back on motorway and the spot is next to a pub.
Parked here a few times. Always a few vans here and no hassle. Road noise is the only issue but I sleep fine. 10 minutes drive into Brighton.
