This is a spacious, quiet parking spot at the end of a dead-end forest road near Matera. It is under trees, offers shade and good 4g reception, but rain can make access difficult. The area is somewhat dirty with considerable litter, so visitors should take their trash away.

Quiet spot under the trees, sheltered from the heat. Be careful in case of rain, as it can become difficult, but it is easy to access, with plenty of space and good 4G reception. Not far from Matera. I recommend it.
We slept here for one night—with a car and rooftop tent it was very quiet, and there was a wonderful sunset in the evening. Perfect for taking a city trip to Matera the next day. There was quite a lot of rubbish, so we tidied up a bit. We would gladly come again!
Perfect for one night. We arrived at night and the atmosphere was not welcoming, but we did not meet anyone and had no problems. A pleasant shady awakening.
It has the merit of being isolated from the road.
