Been here?
A remote, off-grid car park in woodland, reached by an accessible single-lane unmade track with no height restriction. It is generally very quiet overnight, while dog walkers use the area during the day. Parking can be muddy, sloping and uneven, with potholes; larger vans may find spaces tight. Hockley is approximately 1.5 mile away.

So peaceful I stayed one Saturday night lovely park up locals are so friendly all I would say is bring your wellies if it’s been raining as very muddy would happily stay again
Brilliant park up. Quiet and easily accessible. Staying here on a Friday night - couple of other vans + me so right balance of remote Woodside spot without being too creep.
stayed here many times with no issues.. bit muddy in some bits can park easy enough. dog bin on site as well. can be busy during the day in dry days especially in the summer
Spent a great night here end November 2025. It was a little sloping but not major. Unfortunately due to a lot of wet weather in preceding days the track was very very muddy, meaning care required to keep as much mud as possible out of the vehicle Very quiet overnight, but plenty of cars/dogs arriving/departing at other tines. Bins on site. Recommended.
Lovely park-up, with dog walkers until quite late and again early in the morning. Completely undisturbed overnight. Parking is a little tight for my 7.5 m van. Smaller vans won't have any issues.Translating
Lovely remote, undisturbed, quiet spot. You have to move around between potholes to find a flat spot.Translating
Lovely and quiet, nice spot.
A real gem, dead quiet, with a few walkers and runners before dark.Translating
Lovely spot. quiet most of the night, great views in the morning, nice woodland to walk around!
We stayed here Saturday night. Local dog walkers very friendly. Great walks in woods, around the lake and beyond. Very quiet over night. Perfect off grid spot to be appreciated.
Stayed here Saturday night Got busy in the morning, but locals are friendly and no hostility, even some horses tried to stay at a local site 'the lawns' and they didn't seem to want CC members on a CC site, so it's a lovely spot
Very peaceful night’s stay. Stunning views and lovely walks in the woods or across the nearby fields. Few potholes and a small car park which can get busy during the day as popular with locals. Been couple of times and quiet, no trouble each time
very good place to stay, it was quite level and it was quiet in the morning even tho there were lots of dog walkers and a peacock all in all lovely
What a little gem. obviously no facilities but it was quiet and beautiful. All I needed. Thank you.
