12 November 2025: Unfortunately, only the restaurant was open; overnight stays were not possible despite having asked.Translating
First of all it is overpriced, 20 euro just for the tent place . This is the only camping in the area, it is located just UNDER the road. Stunning views from sides ,pitches are located. Very strange approach. On one side they have Etna Mt. view in another spectacular valley. BUT somehow they decided to use the worst place they had for camping pitches and other area abandoned and inaccessible.
An extraordinary view, flat ground, very quiet, but a semi-abandoned campsite: car wrecks on the grounds, cold water in the sanitary facilities and hot water switched on only on request, overflowing rubbish bins, a campsite meeting the standards of 50 years ago. It's acceptable because we needed a good shower after hiking on Etna! All for €26!! But we slept well.Translating
At first glance, a dismal place directly beneath the road. I did not stop.Translating
In the middle of nature; all you can hear are the bells of the cows and sheep. In my opinion, the value for money is poor: in mid-November, €20 without anything, €7 for electricity, and €3 per person for a shower. In the off-season there is no grey-water disposal (behind a fence); the facilities did not look good enough to me for filling up with water. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. We didn't try the restaurant. Very beautiful area!Translating
We can't understand the poor reviews. The site is basic, as are the sanitary facilities. But everything was clean and the people were friendly. It is rural and surrounded by nature. We ate local home cooking at the restaurant. It was very good. A meal with wine for two people cost €58.Translating
We stayed here for one night on our journey from Etna to Cefalù, despite the rather negative reviews, because we were looking for a campsite. Quiet, with sheep bells for much of the night. Superb grounds. However, the sanitary facilities were dirty and the showers blocked. High price: €25 including electricity for a van and two people. Hot shower, although blocked: €3 per person!! Cold welcome. What a shame!Translating
Not recommended—far too expensive for what it offers.Translating
Nice family running the site, but no WiFi no earth on the electric so couldn't use it. Cold showers! The resturant was pleasant albeit totally empty when we visited at the end of October. The menu was limited and a bit basic. Only site in the area shame it was so run down
Run-down site. We thought €18 without electricity and €25 with electricity was too much. The existing comments put us off. We drove farther north and spent a quiet night at the excursion destination there.Translating
Simple restaurant with parking and a toilet. We thought €18 for two people and a van overnight was too expensive.Translating
We were disappointed by the restaurant. The owner brought us a menu, and we chose roast lamb; she said we would have to wait a little. In the end, she brought a mixed grill. We also had a half-litre jug of house wine, which made us ill—probably adulterated.Translating
