Been here?
A riverside motorhome spot with beautiful views, recently reopened for up to 5 campers while improvement work continues. There are no services, and registration is at restaurant Het Veerhuis on the dike. The setting is beside the river, with birds, passing ships, cyclists and a ferry nearby.

Beautiful place by the water, recently reopened for five campers. Work is still underway to make it even nicer. Register at the ferry house on the dike. Friendly and helpful owner.
The place is open again, and the view is very beautiful, right by the river. Birds singing, boats passing by, cyclists crossing on the ferry, and coffee at the ferry house—plenty to do!
You cannot stay here due to construction work, hopefully temporarily.
Nice, clean, and quiet place by the water. There is a picnic table with two small bins. It was very peaceful, with no disturbance from traffic, for example.
Fantastic place! At the moment it is indeed accessible straight through the village, so take Kerkstraat. There is a sign there. The other entrance is closed.
Nice place with a beautiful view. Friendly caretaker. Too bad the bins were either too full or defective. A larger, sturdy, lockable bin would be better than all this mess.
The dike is closed, but the camper site is accessible via the village. The signs also say: camper site accessible!
Now permanently closed! Prohibition sign. Access closed, only for heavy construction vehicles. Extensive construction work on the dike, which will probably continue for years.
looks like a beautiful place and we were very excited to camp here, but it was all flooded! we had dinner with a beautiful view but had to move to a drier spot!
Currently a construction site, with lots of ship traffic at night. You can pay the 8 euros at the café upstairs. There were many sightseeing cars in the evening. We were there with four other motorhomes. Because of the construction site, we think 8 euros is too much.
One star deducted because there is noise from the sand depot from 7 a.m. during the day. We are out and about during the day anyway, but sleeping in is not possible. With a westerly wind, you get covered in blowing dust here. We slept well for two nights. And there is a beautiful view of all the ships.
Beautiful location directly on the river, with spacious, firm, and level pitches. A hike through nature is spectacular. Walk 2 km northeast along the river, then return through the nature reserve via the old dike.
