Unnamed Road, 66600, Cases-de-Pène
Been here?
Small, flat, rustic esplanade for one truck among the vines, with superb views of the Canigou and nearby mountains. It is very quiet, with only a few hikers and no road noise. Access is narrow, rocky, uneven and potentially hazardous, although vans can manage it; strong winds are common. A beautiful 7-8km hike with 500D+ starts here.

Very beautiful view of Canigou among the vineyards. Flat platform. Nice hike starting here.
Superb spot!!! The access road is quite narrow and has a lot of rubble, but it is manageable in a converted van.
The approach is very bumpy. I think something was already damaged, but on the way there our fan belt broke. We had to be towed out, and the tow-truck driver said he would have taken the other route because this one was life-threatening. But the place is really beautiful and remote. Now we know that even a tow truck can get there :D Adventure!
Spot with an incredible view. The only drawback is the wind—it is impossible to sleep in a rooftop tent because there is so much of it! A beautiful hike also starts here (7–8 km, 500 m elevation gain) and leads to the fort visible from the spot.
A super-quiet place with good views over the vineyards. There is internet coverage. The road to get there is somewhat difficult, over a track of stones and dirt, but it is worth it. No services.
Very beautiful, flat and peaceful spot. The locals left a note saying campers are welcome and reminding everyone not to leave any waste at the spot. It is extremely clean; let’s keep it that way. We highly recommend it!!
Beautiful spot but too windy for the rooftop tent. We found a spot nearby in the forest sheltered from the wind.
Very, very clean place. Please respect this spot.
The view is superb. Very quiet but very windy.
Magnificent, very windy, but the views and beauty are incredible! No road noise.
Great, very calm place. Few people going for a walks, but everyone was friendly. For us, one day was super calm, without any wind, the second night and day was pretty windy. All depends on your luck. Don't take the long road from Espira-de-l'Agly, go to Cases-De-Pene first.
Very pleasant, flat and peaceful place. Incredible views of the mountains and vineyards. The only problem is that the wind funnels through the corridor, making it difficult to stay outside the vehicle.
