Doleinion Campsite

Nice campsite right at the foot of Cadair Idris. Facilities could do with an update but still functional. Will certainly return.

The only good thing is the location: a great starting point for hiking. Everything else is simply bad. The sanitary facilities, if they can even be called that, are completely outdated and run-down. The price is totally excessive, pure rip-off. We paid £46 for one night for four people. Cash only.

Very basic. Poor facilities, only 2 showers and 2 toilets for the whole site. Pot wash is a Belfast sink outdoors and cold water only. Showers are questionable, everything gets wet, oh and they’re 20p for 2 minutes. Prices are £13 pppn, this includes children over 12. Electric is extra £8 pn. Only bonus is the planes from the Mach Loop fly directly overhead.

I stayed here 6 nights. I didn't need hook up or their facilities, just water. so for me £13 a night was ok. there is an area of hard standing, but 90% is a field that can be boggy in places. for a couple with a dog £27 is expensive and then another £7 if you want hookup. Great location for walking Cadair idris and the mach loop.

Very basic and overpriced campsite. Only a few places on hard ground, the rest is on a grass field that was already muddy and got even worse when it rained. Showers and toilets old and dirty, showers for 20p but only for two minutes with no pausing.

Basic facilities. Charming owner who speaks French. £13 for one person, £1 for a dog. Beautiful hikes start from the campsite. No credit cards accepted.

Great location for climbing Cadair Idris. However overpriced at £12 per person, £7 for electricty. There are two showers and two toilets for the whole site, they are not pleasant. We could not find hot water to wash dishes. There are two other campsites very close by which are much better value for money.

The location is excellent. Very peaceful and directly at the start of the hiking trail up Cadair Idris. However, it is too expensive for what is offered—basic pay showers and toilets. Electricity is only available on the front pitches and costs a lot. We paid £46 per night (2 adults and 3 children). It is simply unrivalled, even though Marianne is very kind and helpful, she still thinks her prices are very cheap :D

The location is uniquely beautiful, but £45 for a pitch on a meadow without electricity or anything else is simply too much. We did not stay. Cash only!

Unbeatable location, directly beside the Cadair Idris hiking trail and next to a beautiful park. Free choice of pitch on the meadow, but the sanitary facilities and rubbish disposal area are borderline. The shower and toilet are very basic, in need of renovation and only barely clean. £12 per person per night, 20p for a two-minute shower.

Nice field at the bottom of a valley, friendly owner, toilets very basic (cold water only) but meets needs. Dolgellau Town apx 15min drive with large co-op on the outskirts. Dog friendly, quiet surroundings, will go again when there isn't snow on the ground! cost for 2 adults, 1 dog & EHU £21.
