A free daytime-only car park in the Peak District, off the beaten track and near Chatsworth House. It has valley views, woodland shelter and many walking routes, including dog walks. No overnight parking is permitted and recent reports confirm that this is enforced by patrols. The area can be busy with walkers and cyclists during the day.

Good stop for the daytime, loads of walks start from this car park. No Overnight Parking - and it is enforced! We were visited by the "Dave the Ranger" around 6pm as we were having a brew before leaving, but he was very polite and advised that he does patrol late at night as too many people have abused the car parks with parties and car meets in the past. This is why we can't have nice things!
no overnight parking sign at the entrance, wardens are patrolling as came in the carpark when we were there so we left shortly after.
Fantastic spot off the beaten track. Great views across the valley and wonderful sound of birds all evening.
arrived late Saturday night. only car/van here. very quiet and sheltered from the wind.one car came around midnight but didn't bother us. beautiful views in the morning. will certainly use again!
Great stop...quiet night..a few vans here but space for a few..fairly level...very quiet...Great views...Great dog walks...3 phone signal.. saving this place for the future....
Stayed last night on our way to Chatsworth. Arrived just after lunchtime and it was full of cars (walkers and cyclists) all of which had left by 5pm and then just us (Moho) and two campervans for the night. Very quiet stopover and a fantastic sunrise through the trees this morning.
Stayed one night here. Lovely and quiet park up. I would use this place again and recommend it.
Stayed last night. One other camper van. Tucked away in the bottom corner with nice views. Spoke to the ranger who had no problems with overnight camping. Brill night!
noisy at night from boy racers, also spoke with a ranger who told me 'no overnight camping' signs to be introduced soon as well as a parking metre due to the increase numbers of campers. He informed me some campers have been having fires and bbqs which is forbidden on moorland due to flamable ground. shame but great for a day park up.
brill place.4 other camper vans here last night. nice and quiet with great walks in all directions. well recomended
Quiet, wooded place with access to hiking trails. We spent a peaceful night and day here.
Quite a nice spot. 3 other campervans here last night and all respectfully quiet. A nice little pine wooded area to walk in. Just some odd comings and goings of locals late at night until about midnight.
