Great place to legally spend the night for a very reasonable price. Very quiet, with only some activity during the day before a tour starts. Hardly any traffic on the road. Surrounded by trees and lots of birds. Surprisingly decent toilets. The fort staff are very helpful and friendly. Interesting tour.
Spent a wonderful, peaceful night with no noise. The next day we visited the Gros Ouvrage du Hackenberg, a tour really worth taking: three hours with a humorous and very interesting guide. Don't hesitate to come and try their sugar tart too.
We did not stay overnight, but a visit to the fort is definitely worth the €15 ticket. There is also an educational trail of about two and a half hours. We will return; the sweet tart is worth it.
Very quiet parking lot; the price is okay. Unfortunately, the toilets are only open when the facility is open.
Quiet parking spot on the gravel area inside the facility. The toilets are only open during the fort's opening hours! The facility is very interesting and worth visiting. Hiking in the surrounding area is also possible.
We spent a very quiet night. The setting is pleasant. Very interesting site, and the famous sugar tart is worth trying after the visit!
We arrived the evening before because we had a visit scheduled at 10 a.m. Convenient and quiet, surrounded by greenery. Silent. The guided tour is very good, but must be booked online in advance and lasts two and a half hours; self-guided visits are not possible. The overnight cost is now €5.50.
We did not stay overnight, but it is possible. Picnic tables are available. Definitely worth visiting; allow three hours.
Flat place behind the bridge. Very quiet and ideal for a night before visiting. Called the phone number on arrival as requested and no problem to stay.
Good; we spent a good, peaceful night. The visit to the Hackenberg site is worthwhile, very interesting.
As mentioned in previous reviews, a nice parking area at €5.50 per night, conveniently located for a great visit the next day. Reservations are recommended, especially in summer. The toilets are closed at night and the tap is marked non-potable, but that is not the case.
Very quiet at night, €5.50 per night payable at the desk. Online reservation for the facility; the two-and-a-half-hour, €15 tour is worth it, including a small train ride through the galleries. You sleep on site and are ready for the guided tour.
Good and quiet place for the night. We paid EUR 5,50. Extremely interesting guided visit. We arrived in the evening, stayed for the night and visited the place with the 9.30 visitor’s group. Small group, great explanations and overall a good experience.
Excellent fort visit, three hours of discovery and superb explanations. We slept there for €5.40. Level ground, toilets open during the fort's opening hours. Walking is necessary to see everything. Great!
