Wooded riverside, high vehicles excluded

Beautiful spot by the water, accessible to a Land Cruiser 2.6 meters high. Quiet place, with only an occasional distant train, not bothersome. In the evening we heard wolves howling, which made it even more special.✦Translating

The approach, a rough track of about 15 minutes, is manageable with a 2WD VW bus when dry, but you will get scratches. The spot is beautiful, but there are a great many mosquitoes in June. Farmers came with tractors in the morning and were fine with us being there. On the way back, a police patrol was waiting and checked our IDs (the river is a border, due to migrants).✦Translating

After five weeks touring the Balkans, another absolutely top spot! Thanks to the discoverer! It is inaccessible to tall vehicles; I think a VW bus is still okay, but not without scratches. We stayed two nights and were completely alone, apart from a few fishermen who all waved to us cheerfully from their boats.✦Translating

The river is very clean and excellent for swimming (beware of the current).
