Been here?
A small parking spot beside the Flakkefossen waterfall and river, with beautiful surroundings and very little traffic. Recent stays report a maximum of 1 motorhome, and the ground can be difficult to level. Swimming is possible but large underwater stones are present, and faint shooting-range noise may be heard. Bonfires are prohibited from April 15th until September 15th.

Nice place! Beautifully located by the water near the waterfall! Some traffic passes by, but it is hardly noticeable. You can hear the shooting range a little, but it is not disturbing.Translating
Great spot for one motorhome at most, and it is somewhat difficult to park level. But absolutely quiet, with a wonderful atmosphere. Swimming is possible too, but be careful: unexpectedly large stones lie even in the seemingly deeper water. If there is no room here, 400 meters farther on there is an almost equally beautiful car park with a little more space.Translating
We got off the ferry late at night and headed straight here—it was fortunately still free! A very beautiful place not far from a small waterfall. Three campers passed by in the morning, otherwise nobody. Super beautiful.Translating
Very pleasant place and a starting point for hikes. There are more spaces a little farther on. Let us leave these places without any trace of our stay and remember to put an envelope in the mailbox as indicated on the sign. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Beautiful place, quiet and without much traffic at the road nearby. We parked a bit further, next to a toilet house. There is a sign that invites you to donate a small fee in return for the services, but it's voluntary. We saw a lot of animals here. No sounds of a shooting range but maybe it is closed on Saturday evening?
Beautiful spot. Although it is right beside the main road, that hardly bothers you. Tourists and locals also come here occasionally to look at the waterfall. At night it is wonderfully quiet; you only hear the water at the weir. You can also go into the water below, and there is a small bench nearby. Great place.Translating
Wonderful place when arriving in Norway by ferry. Right in nature beside the rushing water. You cannot really go for a walk here. We were here on Tuesday, June 3, and had fun filming and flying the drone. You can watch it on YouTube if you like; search for DEH-travel. We were not really bothered by the shooting range; it is closed at night anyway.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet spot by a small river in the Flakkeloner recreation area. We had a quiet, rainy night and went on a great hike the next day. Highly recommended. You can pay 100 NOK at the town hall. We would gladly come back.Translating
Lots of parking spaces directly by the lake, excellent.Translating
A really beautiful spot. We arrived here at night after getting off the ferry. It was definitely worth it. We were alone here, and the place is easy to access.Translating
2 spaces here but first one is really only suitable for car or camper and on quite a slope. Main space is great and our 7m Moho fitted fine. Right next to the forest road but not much traffic. We arrived on Sunday so there were some walkers/bikers. The shooting range is closed on Sunday so was very quiet (unlike Monday when we could hear them shooting). It’s a beautiful spot.
Beautiful, peaceful place with a view of the lake, a small island and a waterfall! However, there is a shooting range nearby, so gunshots may disturb the peace.Translating
Lovely, very peaceful place. We stayed here one night with the rooftop tent before taking the boat from Kristiansand.Translating
I created this park4night entry 4 years ago, loved it so much we went back this year. Nothing has changed but a sign not to create fires during summer. Discovered there is a toilet at the next parking spot down the road! We parked here the day before we took the ferry in Kristiansand
Superb spot in nature. Easy to access and 30 minutes from Kristiansand. It is quiet; you can only hear the distant rumble of the waterfall. There are no bins or toilets. We saw only three people in one afternoon.Translating
Wonderful little spot for a van, with pleasant water sounds from the waterfall. Hardly any traffic during the day and absolute peace at night. The waterfall is well worth seeing, and the picnic area with a small playground below is ideal for taking a break or having a barbecue.Translating
Very nice, quiet place where you can stay alone. Farther down the road there are more spaces, where we met a few people. A few people drive along the road in the early evening and morning, but it is not disturbing. Gravel road, but easily manageable with a 6 m motorhome; even a truck drove through to a construction site.Translating
Idyllic spot! Right above the waterfall, yet still quiet, with direct access to the water. The road is not very busy, although it may be busier in season, so it is best to leave in the morning.Translating
