Lakeside parking, paid overnight

A wonderful overnight spot on Lake Lelången with a dry toilet and private fire pit. Right by the hiking trail. Not ideal for launching a kayak because the short path to the water is very steep. Better to launch the boat at the bridge or the parking lot opposite and walk 5 or 10 minutes between the boat and the camper. Otherwise, also perfect for paddling.

Great campsite, dry toilet available, beautiful hiking trails nearby. The approach is bumpy but manageable. Online booking was trouble-free. Each spot has its own fire pit and there is plenty of space between them. Pure nature in the middle of the nature reserve. Now 250 SEK. We were there alone overnight.

We stayed for one night at spot D, which we think is the nicest. It has a fire pit and is right by the water. We were alone there in April. The night must be booked either via the national park website or using the QR code posted on site, for 220 SEK. A hiking trail also starts there.

We had spot C. The location was beautiful and quiet, but there were lots of mosquitoes. Rather expensive considering there was no electricity or sanitary facilities.

Spot D is our favorite. It has a fire pit by the lake and access to the water. We were there alone in September. The hike south, crossing the lake by rowboat, is a special experience. Please make sure that at the end there is always one rowboat left on each side of the lake. That way, hikers after you can cross the lake too.

Perfect spot for self-sufficient campers! Lake for swimming, fire pits and a dry toilet. Absolute peace and quiet. At the beginning of September all the spots were empty, and thanks to 4G we were able to book spontaneously on site. The hiking trail starts right here, with lots of berries and mushrooms along the way. At the end there is a boat crossing, but unfortunately all the boats were on the other side, so we had to turn back.

Parking lot in the forest by the lake. Six parking bays that must be booked online in advance or on site (200 SEK). The price is okay because it benefits the reserve, but in our opinion half the bays are pointless because they are small and too close to the neighbors. Spots A, C and D are still okay because they are by the lake; the others are not really. We drove on because the three mentioned above were already occupied.

Very nice spot. It is convenient that you can book it in advance. The price is okay and supports a good cause—the preservation of the national park. Spots A and B are a little more private. Spots C–F are closer to the toilet and probably better for swimming, although we did not try it; on the other hand, four people share one large area.
