Barrier parking, disturbed nights

Stayed here one night, but its not the place we would enjoy. Lots of coming and going in late evening/early morning. Also a sanitary truck, cleaning toiletes woke us up in 7 am with noises, at 8 started to arrive people at boat rental, lots of ants under the trees and dirty sand with broken glass. Also toilets were so filthy we didnt use them. Cost 2400 huf at parkomat.

I spent a relaxed night there. In the morning, the barrier was down. I showed the information desk attendant a text in Hungarian explaining my situation because I did not have a parking ticket. He opened the barrier for me, and I did not have to pay anything.✦Translating

If you arrive after 6 p.m. or before 8 a.m., there is no ticket available at the barrier. This is a problem if you want to leave again before 6 p.m. You then have to communicate with the information attendant using gestures so that he opens the barrier when you are standing directly in front of it.✦Translating

Good starting point for walk on the island. We had to pay just at arrival (either you can pay per hour or one day for 2000ft). Sleep over possible and purposed by the man collecting the money for parking. Toilettes opened till 17:00, not very clean. After the walk we didn’t stay and continued to Zalakaros.

Paid parking (€1,000 HUF per hour, 1,500 HUF for the whole day). There is a barrier at the entrance, and the payment machine accepts cash only. Toilets open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., drinking water available. Walks on the island and canoeing. Nice place.✦Translating

Beautiful place as a starting point for a hike with the dogs on the island. We did not stay because some loud sound could be heard, like a wind turbine, but we could not discover where it came from.✦Translating

We were here at the beginning of April, then parking was free, other times there is a pay barrier. The island is beautiful.

We spent one night here in March 2023. We were alone, very quiet. The gates were open, we didn’t have to pay anything. Unfortunately toilets were closed.

We spend a Monday night here, thankfully it wasn’t busy, somehow it was even free to park the day. Very quiet (with nice insects’ concert and annoying amount of mosquitoes:) ) and if you are lucky, you can find a shady place good for until next noon. And starting a little hiking trip on the island early in the morning before it gets really hot and crowded is also great. Very much recommended

as mentioned before paid and free at certain hours. very quiet place during night. nice walks on the island. no services. if you happen to wake up late, just speak to the area keeper, who will happily open the gate for you without charging you anything.
