70 Rue du Marais, 85490, Benet
Been here?
This free, shaded and flat daytime parking area is well maintained, with picnic tables, bins, water and clean toilets, although the toilets have no paper. It provides access to walking and cycling paths along the canals. Signs prohibit parking from 23 h to 6 h, so overnight stays are not permitted.

Lovely shady rest stop.
One of the best picnic areas I have had the pleasure of using. Beautiful walks, well-maintained, clean and level ground. Clean toilets, although no paper, water available, plenty of picnic tables and bins. A real joy for a coffee or lunch stop.
Fellow motorhome owners, I live in Sainte-Christine and am also a motorhome owner. This year they put up signs prohibiting parking from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. One day we will no longer know where to go; we will be left with supermarket car parks in full sun, whereas here we are always in the shade. However, you can still stay overnight.
Wonderful place. We stopped at lunchtime and took a long walk along the canals. We saw no prohibition on sleeping overnight. However, be careful: we are in the Marais Poitevin Regional Park, on a protected site. It was peak season and there was practically nobody there.
Excellent place for hiking. Overnight stays are prohibited, but there is a superb motorhome area 4 km away, in the village of Le Mazeau. Free parking; water and electricity are paid. Boat and canoe trips depart from the landing stage.
Very quiet, level and shady. Many walks start here. Toilets and free 4G. In October there were no prohibition signs.
