Thanks to the town for allowing motorhomes to spend the night here. Also suitable for larger motorhomes. The town itself is worth visiting too. We would gladly return.
The parking area is free, large and central. In short, perfect for visiting the town, which otherwise seems rather hostile to motorhomes, with height barriers and illegal no-parking signs. Ten minutes on foot from the Laughing Cow House, an entertaining attraction.
Very convenient parking for visiting the Laughing Cow Museum, as the site's parking area cannot accommodate motorhomes. Note that Thursday is market day, so parking is not possible. It is a 5-minute walk.
perfect for city centre. Arrived Sunday night (06/07/2025) plenty spaces. Only parking 24hrs. No water or waste.
Rather quiet, but it depends on activity in the town centre: cinema, restaurants, squares, and so on. Public toilets nearby.
Quiet at night, no particular problems. Many restaurants nearby.
Parking area wide enough for a large motorhome to visit the town centre.
Parking very well located for visiting the town of Lons-le-Saunier and the Laughing Cow Museum. Many spaces are free in the morning, but it fills up quickly in the afternoon.
We parked on a Tuesday at 1300 and there were lots of double spaces free, we even got an end row. By 1350 the car park was full. No parking on a Thursday before 1400 due to the market.
I called the Lons tourist office and they told me that this Place de Verdun parking area is free and authorised for motorhomes, without setting anything out, of course. Shops, cinema and restaurants are nearby.
