Vogelzanglaan, 2020, Antwerpen
Been here?
A basic motorhome area beside the fairgrounds, convenient for visiting Antwerp by public transport or bicycle, with the centre about 15 minutes away by bike. Recent stays cost 25€ per night plus 5€ for electricity. Free water, grey waste and toilet disposal are available, but the facilities and toilets are worn and the area is not consistently clean. Highway and train noise remain noticeable.

A somewhat poorly maintained but essential and sufficiently clean stopover, very convenient for visiting Antwerp by public transport or bicycle; via the cycle paths, you can reach the city center in 15 minutes. Be careful in Antwerp of thieves and pickpockets. The police patrol on foot and are heavily armed, and jewelry stores have guards. Bicycles, especially e-bikes, are highly sought after, so do not leave them unattended.
Very friendly welcome, you can park wherever you like, with several mobile homes set up around the site to house people looking for accommodation. Good initiative! It lacks a bit of cleanliness. Clean sanitary facilities. Very good for visiting Antwerp.
Very good. Quiet site and feels safe. Be very careful in the city of Antwerp—we cycled to the center and our bikes were stolen!!
We spent a peaceful night, close to the center. €25 plus €5 for electricity. We were welcomed by a very kind lady. I recommend it.
You can park wherever you like in a deserted “camping site” (what a shame, and no showers...). €25 per night and €5 for electricity, but close to the city center. We filled up with water, emptied the tanks, and spent two peaceful nights... We would do it again... But if investors wanted to get involved, something really good could be done here.
We were satisfied here, with plenty of space and fairly quiet for a major city. Everything is easily accessible by bicycle. Anyone expecting a top-quality site will be disappointed.
Very run-down, including the toilets. Bring your own paper. Ten minutes' walk to the nearest station, and from there 15–20 minutes to the center. Antwerp is worth visiting.
Our main goal was to visit the city and be close to the center, so this campsite worked perfectly. It is close to buses and trams that can take you there. Plenty of spaces to choose from, both in the shade and in the sun. It is not impressive in terms of appearance, coziness, or cleanliness, but you can empty gray water and the toilet, and use the restroom. Friendly staff.
Very basic and little noisy and dirty. Position great for the city.
It could be a good campsite if it were not as abandoned as it is. It lacks adequate basic services; what saves it is that there are no other options in Antwerp. First and last time I come here.
Friendly service. Ideal place for visiting the city. Sanitary facilities from the 1980s.
Of course, you would not spend your vacation here, but it is very good for one or two nights... barely 5 km by bicycle to the center. The cycling infrastructure is really good. Safe travels!
The center is quickly reachable by bicycle. Hippies camping on the site party until 11 p.m. Junk everywhere. The sanitary facilities are also very old. I cannot recommend this site.
We arrived a little apprehensive after seeing the reviews, but it was not too bad. The bus is a five-minute walk away and takes you to the city center. With some effort we managed to communicate with the receptionist, and we did not find the atmosphere or noise particularly bad either... Other cities do not even offer you a place to stay nearby!
It deserves credit for existing as a place to visit the city. The city center is worth seeing. The train station is unique! As for the site, it is difficult to sleep because of vehicle noise... You cannot have everything!!! Friendly staff.
Three stars for the kindness at reception and the cycle paths that take us to the center of Antwerp. No shower. Services from another era, not worthy of a city like Antwerp, and €25 is really too expensive for the condition of this campsite, which is also occupied by vagrants.
We stopped here just to empty the toilet, but the manager told us that it is a place to sleep, for at least one night, not just to use the facilities!!
Simple, very quiet motorhome site for €20 per night. Ideal for trips into the city.
Well-located parking for visiting the city. Bus ten minutes' walk away to reach the city center. As for the parking area, it feels somewhat abandoned. The water-filling area is in the middle of the traffic, at a fountain, and the dump area is similar; everything is flooded because it is just a drain. Toilets from the last century. €20 for one night for two people.
Good place to spend the night and visit the center, about 15 minutes by bicycle with good accessibility. The receptionist was very friendly. €20 for one motorhome, two people, and two dogs. Quite peaceful considering it is in the city center.
Nice place, but from the last century. Services for motorhomes and people are poor; the receptionist “forgets” the fee from October onward and charges an extra €5. Full of occupied homes and places for parties. In short, better look elsewhere.
Who actually wrote that it was beautiful and cheap? Neither description applies. The site is completely run-down, with many dubious residents. Charging €25 for it is outrageous. €5 would still be too much.
Of course €25 without electricity is a lot. But what alternatives are there? None. You can park anywhere, and above all it is safe. The city center is about 4 km away. The cycle paths are excellent. Of course you can hear the roads. And sorry about the complaints regarding the toilets—every camper has a shower and toilet on board.
Due to the lack of alternatives, the site is just about acceptable. €25 is too expensive. Toilet and waste disposal, otherwise nothing. The night was quiet. The site is centrally located, 4 km from the city. Good cycle paths. Frites Atelier is a must if you like fries. The Central Station is well worth seeing.
Simple and safe for spending the night and visiting the city center, 45 minutes on foot or 20 minutes by bicycle. You can also take bus line 22 near the site, costing €3. The cleanliness and condition of the toilets need improvement. Facilities are outdated but acceptable.
There are no marked pitches, making it difficult to know how to position yourself, especially since the electrical hookups are scattered and do not serve every motorhome. Convenient area for Antwerp because public transport stops 500 meters away. Water filling and emptying facilities available. Recommended.
The site is well located for visiting the city. Unfortunately, there are no showers. The toilets are old and could be cleaner. Otherwise, the site serves its purpose.
Good location, directly beside the motorway, which can also be heard a little (not disturbing); 4 km to the city center on good cycle paths; very friendly reception; no showers; basic toilets; large site with free choice of pitch. We felt comfortable and recommend the site. A place to wash dishes would be desirable.
Easy to find. Friendly and helpful at reception. Facilities limited but it is run by volunteers and is great to have so much space and trees near to city centre
Sad area, with glass bottles on the ground and a feeling of desolation. Toilets impossible to use.
There are no marked pitches. Water supply and black- and gray-water disposal are available, though difficult. The toilets leave much to be desired. Convenient for visiting the city because it is right on the edge of the low-emission zone. WARNING: entry is only possible during opening hours; outside the area there is only car parking. We saw many motorhomes and caravans with wheel clamps.
Quiet place, a little far from the center but fine. It is somewhat expensive for what it offers, but there is not much else.
We did not stay overnight, only used the water-filling and disposal service for €3, and everything was perfectly fine. The water tap is in a muddy area.
