Church Street, Sneem
Been here?
An adults-only motorhome park with 25 gravel pitches, 6amp electricity and service facilities, beside the river in Sneem. A recent price was €15 without electricity, while rubbish can be taken away or costs €2 extra. Check-in is at the red-fronted Dan Murphy pub, open from 11am. The park is peaceful, close to pubs, restaurants and village shops, with water filling and waste emptying available.

Everything you need for little money. Friendly people, beautiful surroundings.
As described in the introduction, beautifully situated in a picturesque village. Read their website regarding the “adults only” policy! Excellent price, €15 excluding electricity. Take your rubbish with you or pay for disposal. Waste and drinking water facilities available.
Families take note: the site is adults only. Unfortunately, we only noticed this when we were already standing in front of the barrier. Otherwise, the site looked very good at first glance, but unfortunately it is not suitable for us.
Owners brilliant, excellent site on the river, relaxing and next to town with lots of pubs and restaurants. Rubbish costs €2 extra. We based ourselves here in a great town during a festival. Took the local bus to O’Carroll’s Cove, a lovely beach with a bar, restaurant and takeaway. An e-bike company can rent bikes or arrange tailored tours of the Ring of Kerry. We parked up, relaxed, and returned to the vibrant little town in the evening.
It is disappointing that a campsite is managed this way. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
Right in the middle of Sneem but really peaceful. The weather was fabulous and we swam in the river. A glorious place to stop with beautiful views and a really laid back feel.
One of the most beautiful sites in Ireland. If you arrive early, you can get a place directly by the water. Just a few steps into the village, with pubs and the highly recommended Blue Bull restaurant. It would have received five stars if there were rubbish bins too. We stayed three nights nevertheless. A must-do: a seaweed bath at the Sneem Hotel, 15 minutes on foot; call ahead and book.
Great site, beautiful views. Right in the middle of the town, spacious pitches.
Superb location! Many birds gather by the river, and it is wonderfully relaxing to end the day here in the evening. Checking in at the pub is very straightforward, and you can easily explore the village from there.
Spent last night here, very nice and private, would definitely recommend 20 euros with electric, water fill up and both wastes emptied, would love to come back, coffee shops and bars for food on the Main Street although they close early for food.
A lovely, quiet village with a few pubs and grocery shops. Everything you need is here. The prices remain quite affordable.
It was easy to check whether there was space, as I messaged in the morning using the mobile number on the website. When this is finished, it will definitely be a five-star site! Easy to find, and the pitches are reasonably level. The ground is boggy on site, as expected—it has been raining a lot—and the electrical hookups are somewhat tangled and disorganized. However, it is a great spot with an easy, friendly check-in. We will definitely be back!
Nice site, still under development. No sanitary facilities but a good service station. Registration at Murphy’s Bar. In the evening, a visit is worthwhile: nice atmosphere with good Irish live music. We can only recommend it. We would return.
Great quiet site by the river. Unfortunately, no rubbish disposal, toilet or shower. However, construction is still underway, so these facilities may be added. There was live music at Murphy’s Bar today, Friday, and they serve extremely delicious Guinness at the best price we have found so far.
It's a beautiful spot right in front of the water, and also in the heart of town. I give it 3 out of 5 for a couple of reasons. One of them being the fact that there are no bins to throw away your trash, which to me seems insane. There is also no bathrooms, so make sure you empty your black water before parking! Also the older man has a staring problem, always stared at us for minutes straight.
Really well laid out Aire. No showers or toilets but knew that in advance. Check in at Dan Murphy’s pub. 15€ for spot and additional 5€ if you require EHU. Lovely staff in the pub and really nice pints of Guinness. Sneem is lovely but unlike other reviews I cannot recommend the Hungry Knight take away. €14.50 for Fish and chips that was barely edible. Had to throw in the bin after a few bites.
Great stopover. Next to a river and the town has enough to offer - and the cafe over the bridge is perfect for breakfast.
Great location by the water, within walking distance of the village, with hiking trails into the wooded area. Pay at the red pub across the road. Parts of the site are still under construction. Service and disposal facilities are fine. Fish and chips from the Hungry Knight are also good as takeaway.
Parked here without reservation. Was almost full but we did not need electricity and there was a spot without. But they do have it available if needed. Our place was with a great scenic view on the mountains. Nice small town and pub in 200 meters, but a quiet area just behind the church.
parked here Sat & Sun of May b/h weekend. Didn't prebook so just waited for a few hours and there was some no shows so got a spot. Great little place. beautiful location, a short stroll to restaurants and bars.
Very nice stopover by the river/estuary. Freshwater, grey and blackwater facilities. Sneem also has loads of bars and restaurants. Had a great night.
A beautiful site. Service and disposal facilities are excellent. Very quiet but central.
A beautiful site with new gravel pitches. Water and wastewater disposal are easy. If you miss rubbish disposal and a toilet/shower, remember that you are driving a hopefully fully equipped camper and that in Ireland rubbish is always taken away with you. This is not a campsite, and caravans are not allowed—only motorhomes! It is inexpensive and open all year.
Lovely stopover, stayed two nights. Nice little town, and I definitely recommend the Bridge Café. €20 with electricity, well worth it.
stayed here for the night was a brilliant wee spot, paid in the pub as the sign said. It would be better if there were toilets there
This place is beautiful! We did not stay overnight or use electricity, but we used it to dump black water (which I think is free, I hope). If you need a place to stay for the night I would definitely recommend this one!
Great park-up for the money, nice town, and the Bridge Café is fabulous.
Large pitches, small village with a very good pub. We could even see seals directly in front of our camper. Beautiful!
Fantastic site right in the middle of the town. Short 5 minute walk into town for the pub etc. A good location for a stop on the Ring of Kerry. Level pitches right on the river. €20 a night for 2 with electricity seems reasonable. Shame it doesn’t have a toilet/shower block or this place would be getting 5 stars.
Lovely Motorhome parking spot. So scenic and walking distance to lovely pubs, shops and restaurants. 15€ without EHU 20€ with. Check in Dan Murphy’s pub.
Great position by waterfall/river in centre of town, but very peaceful and secure. Only 15€ per night, with fresh water and waste water disposal. Electric hook-up available for 5€. No toilets/showers. Dan Murphy’s Bar, where you pay, is really marvellous!
Really pretty site. We stayed in a camper - no toilet/shower facilities but we knew to expect that and it was only €15 for the night. The village is lovely with a couple of good pubs which are genuinely dog friendly (rare in Ireland!).
Very nice aire, ideally located in the village!
Wonderful site, with all the services for a motorhome; it has no toilets or showers. Absolute tranquility and fantastic views of the river.
One of the best motorhome aires we have visited! Excellent facilities for emptying and refilling, lovely pitches and a superb view over the river. Sneem is very beautiful and welcoming.
