111 Travessa do Cávado, 4750, Tamel (São Veríssimo)
Been here?
A very quiet riverside wild spot among trees, with no infrastructure and only a few spaces for small vans. The access is narrow and difficult, with limited manoeuvring room and a narrow exit. The ground is uneven and litter has been reported. The river and shade make it suitable for relaxing when access is manageable.

We stayed for 2 nights. Very quiet place near the river, with no facilities, but fantastic for relaxing!
Very dirty place, with used condoms on the ground, cigarette butts, and empty bottles. The place is creepy! We turned around and left. It’s a shame because if it were maintained, it would be a perfect spot!
Difficult access, narrow, and hard to maneuver between the pine trees; recommended only for vans. Some litter from papers. The good thing is being next to the river and in the shade. There is only one narrow exit between the trees, so I did not stay overnight.
Very quiet riverside, very pleasant night.
I saw it, I came, and I left. The spot looked nice, but there were a few cars here and there—two couples in cars, and a guy sprawled out drinking beers. I didn’t really like the atmosphere and preferred to leave. I think it’s nicer off-season.
When we arrived at the end of the day, we noticed groups of young people who seemed unhappy about our presence. Consequently, we thought it best to leave.
A beautiful spot to spend a night, right next to the pretty river and surrounded by trees. Our sleep was only interrupted at 6am by music from a rave party in the distance. We shared the spot with two other campervans, and picked a bag of litter too. The river was good for stand up paddle boarding, but didn't look clean enough for a swim.
The access road is narrow; our 7-meter motorhome made it easily between the trees. I don’t recommend it for longer motorhomes. In the afternoon and evening, there were still a few young people with their cars, but they were very quiet and well-behaved. We spontaneously stayed overnight, and it was wonderfully peaceful. As a thank-you, we collected litter, which quickly filled a bag.
A beautiful place. It’s a mystery to me why guests throw their rubbish so disrespectfully into the bushes. I collected and disposed of three large bags of rubbish.
Very quiet place on the banks of the Cávado, among trees. Only three spaces for small vans. No facilities, and the dirt ground is somewhat uneven. The entrance is neither easy nor obvious at night. We do not recommend it if you are not comfortable staying in a secluded place.
Perfect place to spend a quiet day and night. Some trees in the entrance that you need to be careful but it was okay with my motorhome (almost 6 meters long) . Keep this place clean!
I’m giving it only 4 stars because of the bad weather we had... Otherwise, it is indeed better to have a small car to access it. But otherwise, a great spot to come and sleep for one night.
