Unnamed Road, KY15, Cupar
Been here?
East Lomond car park is an overnight parking area with fantastic valley views, benches, and walking routes up East Lomond Hill. A maximum of 5 vans is allowed overnight, and payment is now made with cash in a box. Toilets open from 10am to 6pm in summer and from 10am to 4pm in autumn. Traffic, loud music, young drivers, and late visitors can make nights noisy.

I had a good night. There was still a lot of traffic until around midnight, but after that it was quiet. Bring cash; unfortunately, there is only a box to put the money in. A local resident told me that the site was still free a year ago and that they had only just done all this work. Hikers now have to pay too. It is a good place to walk up the mountain for sunset.Translating
Been here before and was OK. But last night there were people playing loud music and shouting until 1am, others turned up around 2am for a walk up the hill and were noisy, then yet more turned up at 4.30am. This was all before the dog walkers at 5.50am. Didn't feel safe, didn't sleep much.
Lovely spot with great views but locals turned up around 8pm and set fireworks within 2m of our van for over 2 hours. Even when car park was empty. Lovely spot but didn’t feel safe so left to find somewhere else.
Went on Saturday night, busy with cars and loud music. I can’t say I would recommend it due to this.
Great views from this park up, is fairly busy with walkers during the day and young drivers at night, but the views make up for that, I got lucky that no one was overly noisy, stayed the one night, toilets open and a lovely walk up east lomond hill.
Lovely view. Not a nice place to stay for young drivers rallying cars round car park all hours of the night. Then rudely woken at 5 am by older gentleman in van doing wheel spins past my van. Wont be back. no payment facilities
Not recommended; at night, one car after another arrives and leaves. Naturally, they leave the engine running so it does not get cold. Constant engine noise. With a rooftop tent, there is no real peace and quiet. The view itself is great.Translating
Very nice place to stop or spend the night. We had a quiet night here and used the benches for breakfast in the morning. As mentioned, there is only a cash box now. The landscape also invites you to go hiking. We would definitely sleep here again.Translating
Very beautiful view over the valley. £10 per night; there is a box on a sign. Warning: no toilets after 6 p.m.!Translating
Love this spot. 3 vans there when I went last weekend on a beautiful Friday evening. There wasn’t a payment kiosk, so was free. I think 5 or 6 bays for overnights. Lovely views and benches. Nice trails for wee wanders or longer walks too.
Great location with views to match, unless it’s foggy. Good nights sleep once the cars with loud music left about 2200hrs, just the youth having fun they caused us no bother. Will be back and hope for no fog. Pay machine has been removed and no donation box installed yet. The BBQ disposal bin is a great idea to stop fires in the normal bins.
Very clean aire, with toilets. Unobstructed view (very windy, however). Minor drawback: some sections of the road leading up are full of potholes, making access a little difficult with a large motorhome.Translating
Fantastic nights sleep in a beautiful location. Lots of walks straight from the car park. views across Fife, the Forth and beyond. Toilets are spotless, plenty of bins and bbq disposal bin. Fife has so many brilliant park ups to offer! Worth every penny in my opinion.
Very relaxed and quiet night! The toilets were also very clean and opened earlier than stated. Tip-top.Translating
