This is a large, grassy parking area beside the Gers, near the municipal swimming pool and about 1.5km from Auch's historic centre. Nights are generally calm, although there is daytime traffic and occasional morning traffic noise. There is one potable-water tap but no other services. A motorhome theft was reported during a daytime visit in 2025.

The historic centre is very close, with a path along the river leading directly to the bottom of the monumental staircase.
