Paid riverside parking, flood risk

We have often stayed here over the years. At €18 for nothing instead of €12, unfortunately we have to avoid this place. If others did the same, perhaps something would change.

Beautiful place with snack stands. Right on the Elbe. However, it is becoming more expensive. It will then be charged using license-plate recognition, and I think €18 for parking only is too expensive. Beware: anyone who uses the parking lot or even just drives onto it without paying will be charged €56. What a shame for such a beautiful place.

As described by the others, but motorhomes can only pay for the entire day via EasyPark: €17.25, with no other tariff available.

We were lucky and got a spot right by the water. Great for watching ships. The snack bar next door was very friendly and the food was delicious. The ticket machine is somewhat confusing, as it only displays motorcycle parking. Four different app payments are shown, but none of the apps can find the parking lot using the number displayed for motorhomes. I think €12 is perfectly reasonable for the view.

Very nice parking area, small but close to the Elbe. Currently free because the ticket machine was removed due to the storm surge. Since there is also a motorcycle parking area there, it is occasionally noisy. The snack bar is highly recommended; it seems very popular because it was busy.

We agree with the previous reviews. We had a quiet night. Well suited for self-sufficient motorhomes.

The place itself is worth the drive if you want to stay directly on the Elbe and see very large ships. The heavy traffic, especially motorcycles, was somewhat bothersome, but it was no longer an issue in the evening and we had a very quiet night. Public toilets were on the other side of the road. Very clean for a public toilet, but waste disposal is not permitted.

We came to the site on the recommendation of the harbor master in York. We had a quiet night. The snack stands close around 10 p.m. Playground very nearby. It is a shame that there are no service facilities, but it is great for one or two nights. We will definitely come back.

One star is already one too many! You stand as if in the middle of a fairground, with boastful motorcyclists showing off—noise, stalls, a food strip... endless! €12 and no service facilities! Under these circumstances, every euro is too much! We paid, could not stand it, and drove on.

We stayed here at the beginning of February. The parking area is clean and waste disposal is available. There is a toilet across the road at the tourist information office. We were alone and had a perfect view of the Elbe. Since the ticket machine had been removed, we parked for free. The frequently mentioned snack bar was open, but we did not use it.

Place with a beautiful view for watching ships. Ideal for dog owners and families with children. Playground next to it. Delicious snack van beside the parking area. Many bikers in good weather. Disadvantage: apart from rubbish disposal, there are no service facilities. Muddy and puddled when it rains. We still enjoyed it. We stayed for two days, two adults with four dogs.

The place is good, but unfortunately without services. The price should be lower.

Somewhat noisy, including in the morning, and well frequented thanks to the ferry and walkers. The toilet, requiring the exact 50 cents, is 200 meters away at the tourist information office, but only open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The place is perfectly okay for one night. However, €12 for 24 hours is a little much; nobody came to check.
