Panoramaweg 7, 87527, Ofterschwang
Been here?
A quiet, terraced motorhome area beside the World Cup Express gondola station, with large pitches and excellent views across the Alpine panorama and surrounding villages. The nightly price is 18 euros, with clean toilets, electricity, and grey- and blackwater disposal; fresh water costs 10Cent/10L. Late arrival is possible using an envelope, and registration can be completed at the cable-car ticket office. Hiking routes start nearby, while occasional events at the adjacent alpine hut can create loud music at night.

A very beautiful and quiet terraced pitch at a gondola station. The toilets were clean. Convenient disposal station for gray and black water. Fresh water was available for 10 cents per 10 liters. Perfect for one night. The view was great and there were many hiking opportunities.
Wonderful place with a beautiful view. Late arrival possible. Register during the day at the cable-car ticket office and in the evening/night via an envelope. €18 per night. We will return.
I stayed here for one night. You can also arrive later and put the money in an envelope in the lower building. The view is truly excellent. A very clean public toilet is downstairs in the building. Everything was great.
A nice place with a great view. But what good is that when you have sleepless nights because the beautiful alpine hut next door turns into a party lounge? Loud thumping music until 5 a.m.
Beautiful view, clean toilets. Very nice for walking up and down to the World Cup Hut. Down in Sonthofen there is a lovely lake for swimming. Don't forget to get a delicious ice cream at Der Eisladen in the village.
Very beautiful pitch, sufficiently large plots (enough space for 7.20 m), clean toilets, and of course a great view—gladly again :)
The pitch is very beautiful, and because of its terraced layout it offers a great view. However, there was a wedding with loud music at the alpine hut directly beside the pitch. Suggestion: the hut operator should put up a sign below the pitch saying, “Private event; it may be loud.” Then everyone can decide whether they want to spend the night there without having to move.
Very nice location with great views. Pitches are large and even, power plugs are plenty and close. WC was very clean. There were no cars parked, only a fer campers. The benefit when most other countries still don’t have summer holidays ?.
Very beautiful pitch with a great view. The hiking trails are somewhat steeper, though ;-)
Very beautiful place with a dreamlike view of the mountains. €18 for 2 people and a motorhome (tourist tax, €2.50 discount per person for the cable car and free admission to the swimming pool and cave, among other things; show the receipt). Pay by mailbox upon late arrival and register with the cable-car office the next day. Pitches are each between two arrows. Parkster for cars and short-term parking. Party with heavy bass and shouting until late Saturday night, unfortunately.
A great spot. Excellent view, the pitches are sufficiently large. It is a very popular place. During the holiday season, you need some luck to get a space.
Great place with a beautiful view. On level 9, slightly sloping gravel terrain. We stayed here for two nights and paid €36. Cars kept arriving until nighttime. Electricity €1 per 1.25 kWh, water €0.10 per 10 liters. We will return.
Great place! It has everything you need: black-water disposal, fresh water, and electricity. Toilets are at the mountain station. There are no showers. Electricity costs €0.80/kWh and can be paid with coins from 10 cents to €2. Including tourist tax, we paid €18 per night for two people and a van. Small note: at 9 a.m. there is a brief test announcement from the cable car. You cannot hear the cable car itself.
I deleted my five-star review. By now there is chaos here. The pitches have become narrower, and cars block the motorhomes and the service facilities. Since this criticism has already been expressed here many times, I will contact the operator. Let's see if anyone cares. Otherwise, I will avoid this place in the future.
Good value for money, the site is icy, otherwise everything needed is available.
When we arrived on Friday, it looked great. Unfortunately, on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. onward, cars parked around us so tightly that we could no longer drive away!!! What good are 5-meter-wide pitches if the operator does not ensure that cars do not park here? Or designate it as a mixed parking area, so motorhome drivers know what they are getting into. But apparently this is deliberate here.
A wonderfully designed pitch with a great view. We agree with two criticisms: cars parking too close make maneuvering quite difficult, and in our case the snow cannons ran from 6:30 p.m. throughout the night, which was very loud.
In winter, everything here is occupied by cars (despite the additional “motorhomes only” sign), even the narrowest gap. The disposal area too!!!!
I have rarely seen such a beautiful motorhome site with this view. Winter camping in absolute perfection.
The site itself is very beautiful with a great view. Unfortunately, the motorhome spaces are sometimes occupied or blocked by cars. The place was very full when we arrived in the afternoon, and everything was rather cramped. In addition, the petty behavior, which we had never experienced at any other site so far, made us move on after just one night. Not our kind of place.
Actually still a great place, but blocking the service area is unacceptable—how are you supposed to reach the gray-water drain with a larger motorhome if you cannot maneuver properly?
Great motorhome site. We still found spaces both days between 6 and 7 p.m. Very quiet. Payment was possible at the wall by the waste disposal area using an envelope to fill out with your details and payment, or in the morning from 8:30 a.m. at the cable car station. Friendly employee. Receipts are provided in both cases. Electricity at every plateau. Drinking water, gray-water disposal, and toilet emptying. Highly recommended!
Beautiful motorhome site in a quiet location. In addition to the other comments: the access road is somewhat poorly marked (the motorhome sign is very small; you notice the motorhomes rather than the sign). A very steep road leads to the site to the left of the cable-car building.
Great motorhome site with a superb view!
Excellent motorhome site. Perfect mountain views and ideal for hikers who want to start a mountain tour directly from here. The toilets were open and clean the whole time.
Good motorhome site! Beautiful view. You park on gravel spaces. About eight electricity connections per terrace. Service station available. Payment is easy at the cable-car station, and the staff are very friendly. Toilets are also available at the cable-car station and are clean and well maintained. Restaurants, a village shop, and an ice-cream parlor are within walking distance. A small stream runs beside the site, which is great for dogs.
Very nice motorhome site that we can recommend. Even during the summer holidays, we still had several spaces to choose from and it was not crowded at all! Everything was trouble-free. One star deducted: our electricity consumption overnight was enormous, which really should not be possible.
Everything is as my predecessors have already reported, but... As the operator, I would reduce the spaces by at least 1.5 m, thereby creating room for additional campers. In my opinion, the spaces are much too large—almost 5 m—and there are too few electricity pillars, so this could perhaps be improved.
A great site with a fantastic view! The nearby chairlift is very quiet and does not cause any disturbance. €14 per night and €2 tourist tax per person. Dogs are free. The restaurants are easily reachable on foot. Many hiking trails start directly from the site. Overall, a highly recommended motorhome site.
Great place in the middle of the mountains! We stayed there over a long holiday weekend and found a nice space for one night.
A lovely little spot. Hiking routes start directly at the site. In the shoulder season at the beginning of April, we stayed here with two other motorhome travelers.
