A small, flat parking area 50m below the fort, suitable for vans and small campervans. It has shade and trash facilities, but the road is narrow and recent information describes the forest area as poorly maintained and poorly frequented. Parking overnight is prohibited, including for safety reasons.

This is a daytime parking area and is now prohibited for safety reasons, in the middle of a forest during severe drought. It is poorly maintained and poorly frequented. The caretaker is doing her job because of the many acts of antisocial behavior, barbecues, and so on. It should be prohibited.
Good shaded spot for the day, with nice views, quiet and peaceful. We did not stay overnight because the comments suggested it could be troublesome, so we drove to the nearby aire instead.
