Canal parking, overnight traffic noise

Parking spaces beside the canal with public transport nearby and convenient access to Brussels. It is free at weekends and on weekdays from 19 to 9, but there are no toilets and traffic can be extremely noisy, especially overnight. Recent reports also raise safety concerns, including drug use nearby and a vehicle theft.

Free parking only at weekends and on weekdays from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. The neighbourhood offers some services, but it is still the outskirts of a large city.
Feels unsafe left within 30mins as didn’t want to leave vehicle. The place smells and people were smoking drugs in a vehicle here
A place with a beautiful view. Lots of passing traffic, but it is quieter between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. I sat outside along the canal reading until 10 p.m. and spent the night there without any problems.
Right next to the canal, just outside the centre too.
A lot of noise at night and nowhere to go to the toilet. I do not recommend it.
Impossible to sleep. We were here from Monday to Tuesday and it was impossible to sleep: continuous traffic from trucks, buses, and cars throughout the night. The motorhome moved every time a large vehicle passed.
My van got stolen within the 36 hours it was parked here.
As a parking area it is sufficient for visiting Brussels, 15 minutes by bike from the centre. No facilities, apart from small bins. We did not spend the night, but cars, at least during the day, pass at high speed and shake the vehicle. We would not stay overnight here, but it is sufficient for daytime parking. Payment is required if you do not have a parking card.
Very convenient spot for the centre, free of charge, tram nearby, 4 km by bike. For sleeping, VERY, VERY noisy: we spent one night with trucks and police passing by. Some small supermarkets nearby, nothing special, just the bare essentials.
We parked here today for the visit on Bryssel. Found a parking lot around 2pm and came back at 7.30pm. Everything was good, free parking, easy to reach the center by tram, very nice. Very busy traffic all the time so definetly won’t recommend for night
Very good for parking during the day, with quick access to the city. However, I would not consider spending the night there.
Easy to get into the city with tram 93. Definitely not at night…
It was very noisy during the night because of car noise, and every time a larger vehicle passed you could feel the car swaying. I would not recommend it if other places are available.
This place is terrible! To much noice from the passing cars! We could not sleep at all. Please select another location.
