5 Rue du Petit Moulin, 86320, Lussac-les-Châteaux
Been here?
La Maison de la Nature is a flat, tree-shaded spot beside a small stream within Lussac-les-Châteaux. Quiet atmosphere suits lunch breaks and overnight stops; the stream's babbling creates a peaceful backdrop. Women's toilets are open; men's facilities closed. Vans are welcome but larger motorhomes cannot access the site. Local restaurants are within 10 minutes' walk. Water attracts mosquitoes, so bring nets.

Lovely spot for a cool lunch beside the stream, with large trees and shade, near the nature center. Women’s toilets open ;-), men’s and unisex toilets closed ;-(
Lunchtime break in the shade beside the stream. Peaceful. Overnight stays are possible.
Perfect for a break and even a night. Peace and quiet guaranteed, with welcome shade during this hot weather. A relaxing time.
It is great for eating there in the cool shade.
The toilets are still closed, unfortunately. Otherwise, a pleasant place as mentioned in previous messages. We spent a quiet night there from May 20 to 21, 2026. Nice restaurants less than a 10-minute walk away.
Perfect stopover: countryside in the city. A few groceries at the shop, a drink on the café/PMU’s large terrace, and a perfectly quiet night beside the stream. This is the second time we have enjoyed this place. Thanks to the town hall and the residents.
Charming, quiet place. We spent one night there with two other vehicles. The public toilets are closed!
Great for vans. Inaccessible to motorhomes. I deducted one star because the toilets are closed, but otherwise it is a great spot. Little 4G coverage. Small river. Ideal if you have a dog and want peace and quiet.
Excellent quiet and shaded place. Use mosquito nets because the water attracts insects. Keep it clean; there are garbage bins right there.
Perfect! We stopped for lunch, in the shade beside the river. Clean and peaceful place, with only the sound of a small waterfall. Thank you for welcoming us.
Wonderful natural spot, even though we are almost in the town center, beside a lovely river with a pleasant babbling sound to fall asleep to. Thank you to the municipality for making this site available, and thanks to campers for keeping it intact.
This is the third time we have stopped here to spend a quiet night. As usual, two motorhomes were there. Although a new area has been created in the town center of Lussac-les-Châteaux and seems promising, we decided to stay with what we know. Maybe next time. The restaurants on the main square are worth visiting. We are ready for a fourth stopover.
One-night stopover; it is quiet.
We spent one weekday night here and everything was perfect. The sound of the stream was pleasant. Flat ground.
Parking for the community hall... do not park here on weekends.
Very quiet and pleasant spot. We spent the night here. Bin nearby and hiking trailhead, with shops nearby. Serge and Malou from Auvergne.
Very nice spot on flat parking in a small grassy square beside a rock face, with benches and a stream. Walk around the lake right next door. No access to toilets. It is the parking lot for a hall, so I imagine access is not possible when it is in use.
We recommend this lovely, peaceful spot surrounded by greenery. Several spaces in a large parking area. Pond not far from the parking area, with a stream for a pleasant walk beneath the rocks. Quiet night. The toilets were closed.
Pretty little lake with many ducks, but it is a little farther east, at the foot of the old monumental drawbridge pillars (46.4044485, 0.7287656). However, there are only two level parking spaces. The toilets were clean that day. A lightly used railway line is 30 meters away. Several hikes are possible.
Very nice spot. Unfortunately, this morning people from the municipality came to install barriers prohibiting parking, for reasons I do not know. We had to remove the barriers to leave; nothing serious, but we decided to leave in order to respect the initiative. Have a good holiday.
