Strada Provinciale 38, 19016, Monterosso al Mare
Been here?
Roadside parking with no facilities, a pleasant view and a bus stop beside the hotel for reaching Monterosso and the Cinque Terre. It is convenient for short visits, and Monterosso beach is about 11 min downhill by bike. Traffic, noise, lights and occasional horns can disturb the night, and a theft has been reported.

Great spot to explore Cinque Terre. We parked here for 2 nights with no issues. There were a few other cars parked there too which made us feel safe. In the early morning we took our bikes down to Monterosso beach (11 min cycle, all downhill), parked it there and got the €10 trekking pass for Monterosso - Vernazza - Corniglia and back. Upon return, we got the bus from Piazza Fegine (2 mins from train station) w our folded bikes and got dropped off at Colle di Gritta which is only 1 min from the parking spot! It was a perfect day.
The view is lovely, but there is too much traffic, noise, and light, including honking. I do not recommend it for the night unless you are a very deep sleeper.Translating
Unfortunately, we were robbed that day while out. Just our bad luck.Translating
Excellent motorhome stop. Noisy during the day because of passing cars. Quiet at night. Very beautiful view.Translating
We parked here while we went down by motorbike to see the first village, and everything was fine.Translating
Great stop to visit Monterosso! I parked here for a few hours to explore Monterosso and had no issues at all. It’s a convenient spot with easy access to the village. There’s a restaurant right in front and some light car traffic around, but nothing bothersome. Perfect for a short visit or quick stop.

We stayed here for two nights to visit Cinque Terre. The place itself is nothing special, but it is ideally located and free. The bus stop to Monterosso is directly at the parking area (€1.50 if you buy your ticket at the hotel, €2.50 if you buy it on the bus, and free if you have a Cinque Terre pass). In ten minutes you are in Monterosso, where you can start the hike or take the train between the villages.Translating
We spent two nights there; it was fine.Translating
Very good for bridging one night! Beautiful view, but it is relatively busy with traffic.Translating
Really not flat! Dirty! At the intersection of two roads with a lot of traffic!!!Translating
Great spot right next to the bus stop to Monterosso.Translating
Great place to stay with motorhome. The bus stop is right next to the parking spot.
We stayed at this parking spot for 3 days (at night we parked somewhere else) and then took the public bus to Monterosso. When we came back on the 3rd day, the door lock of the passenger door was broken and the ratchet strap between the doors that we used to keep the doors secure, was cut through. There was quite a mess in the bus but nothing is missing so far. So be careful with valuables.
Free parking, ideal for visiting Cinque Terre because you can take a bus that drops you off in Monterosso, then all the villages can be reached by train. The bus timetable was given to us by the hotel reception directly opposite the parking area. The location itself is not very pleasant, but sufficient for sleeping. No services. Accessible for large motorhomes.Translating
The site is directly on the road, but there is not much traffic at night. Well suited for a stopover.Translating
Honestly, a superb parking area, admittedly a little sloped, but perfectly manageable. Very quiet despite the spaces being right next to the road. You can reach Monterosso in Cinque Terre by bus, which stops lower down from the parking area near a hotel; the hotel sells tickets for €1.50. Bonus: splendid views of the mountains. I highly recommend it!Translating
Relatively large parking area by the road, fairly busy during the day but manageable at night. I was able to use the toilet at the hotel across the road, so it is a top spot for visiting Cinque Terre.Translating
Good starting point for Cinque Terre and a nice view, but extremely noisy. The parking area is directly on the road and cars race along it all night.Translating
We stayed here for two nights in our 6.8-meter-long motorhome, using leveling ramps to compensate for the slope. We slept very well. The best thing is the bus stop directly by the hotel a few meters away, to get to the village (€2.50 per person). There is also hiking trail no. 509.Translating
Perfect parking area for visiting Cinque Terre, just above the village of Monterosso. A bus passes approximately every hour; tickets can be bought at the restaurant opposite (€1.50).Translating
