2 Route du Lac-Noir, 1722, Fribourg
Been here?
Small municipal parking lot near Fribourg's lower town, with roughly 16m of truck/bus bays and 28 car spaces; a public toilet 100m away by the church stays open even at night. Parking is metered (about 1-2 CHF per 30-60 min), free on Sundays. Overnight stopping is discouraged: early traffic and driving-school vehicles disturb sleep. As of mid-2024 a construction site blocked access to the lot, expected to clear by early October.

Hello motorhome users, the parking spaces cannot be used; there is currently a construction site there and you cannot drive into the car park, probably until the beginning of October. Greetings from Fribourg, Matze.
It was quiet in the evening, and fairly quiet in the morning. The toilet at the church was open and clean.
Convenient for parking not far from the lower town. The car park is a little expensive; consider the P+R, which gives you 24 hours plus a transport ticket for CHF 8.80. However, not recommended for overnight stays: traffic and the various car, motorcycle and bus-school vehicles using the car park for lessons will wake you early.
Parking is not cheap: CHF 1 per 30 minutes and CHF 2 per hour. But perfect for a Sunday, when it is free. There is also water and toilets, as mentioned, even in January.
