Carretera de Mare de Deu del Mont, 17734, Beuda
Been here?
A fairly flat gravel parking area beside a sanctuary, with excellent views across the Girona region and occasional cloud or fog. Access involves a winding, narrow 16km mountain road, reported as manageable for vehicles under 7m. The restaurant opens from June; recent reports mention bins but no services or WC outside available facilities.

Winding, very narrow road for 16 km, but a magnificent place despite the presence of two enormous antennas. Unfortunately for us, the nightlife was very active in this parking area during our stay... Many cars and motorcycles came and went.
Magnificent sunset view. It is a mountain road to get there, but it is in very good condition and worth it! We were alone; only a few runners passed by in the late afternoon and morning. There are no services or toilets, but there are bins. We recommend it!
Beautiful place. Wonderfully quiet. An occasional cyclist reaches the summit. The road there is winding but manageable for anything under 7 meters. Great views and vistas. The restaurant does not open until June, so there are few day visitors.
Until around 9 p.m., small groups were regularly there to eat at the restaurant. Afterwards, we had a little paradise in the mountains to ourselves and were surrounded by clouds while watching the sunset. Simply wonderful! Unfortunately, the toilet is not available outside the restaurant’s opening hours. That is the only drawback, but it does not detract from the place or the experience!
Warning: I absolutely do not recommend going up to the sanctuary from Beuda, even though Maps makes it look like the main road. The bends are extremely tight, and with my 6-meter camper I lost traction in places. If someone had come downhill in the opposite direction, it would have been disastrous. The route via Cabanelles is easier, but still only suitable for vehicles up to 6 meters, and do not go when heavily loaded.
The road uphill is narrow and long; beautiful place.
The site is spectacular. We stayed during the week and slept completely alone. Regarding the climb, passing another vehicle is difficult, but it is worth it! However, I recommend not taking the road through Maià de Montcal. I scraped twice with my Ducato L3H2. It is better to go up via Beuda or San Martín Sesseres.
The most beautiful place where I have ever spent the night. Completely alone here at night, with amazingly beautiful views. Complete silence. The restaurant is not always open, so services are not always available. A winding, steep road leads to the top, where passing oncoming vehicles can be difficult. Not recommended for motorhomes, but fine for vans.
Spectacular place; beware of the road uphill with a camper. I made it up, but prayed I would not meet a car or another camper.
