A gravel motorhome pitch at Hotel-Restaurant Garre, with 3 spaces and a friendly welcome. A 5€ pitch fee is credited against restaurant meals, and electricity is free; fresh water is available with a long hose. Despite the nearby railway, nights can be quiet, and the restaurant is highly recommended, though reservations may be needed.

A great place to visit the local highlights. Quietly located. The wonderful food at Gasthaus Garre deserves special mention—absolutely amazing. We ate there for two days, and were allowed to stay for free. Very lovely hosts. Perhaps consider allowing use of the toilets for a small fee. Just a suggestion. We are 100% satisfied. Thank you.
The owner is very nice. The food was delicious and plentiful. The €5 was credited. Electricity was free. Despite being close to the train station, we had a quiet night.
We arrived spontaneously and got one of the three pitches reserved for motorhomes. You park on gravel and satellite reception is possible. We ate at the restaurant and it was really worthwhile. However, you should reserve a table, because even on a Thursday it was fully booked. They were very friendly and gave us tips for excursions.
We spent one night there. On that occasion we left the motorhome kitchen cold and ate at the Garre restaurant. Both the very friendly service and the delicious food are absolutely recommendable. The €5 pitch fee was credited to us. On our next visit to the Teutoburg Forest, we will definitely stop there again.
Great starting point for cycling to visit the Hermannsdenkmal monument and the Externsteine rocks. The hosts are super friendly and warm. The cuisine is highly recommended!
People have already mentioned the very friendly hosts—and it really isn't exaggerated! Not only that, the food was excellent and the prices more than reasonable. For us, this was the first day of our holiday on the way to the Baltic Sea. Every place afterward will have a hard time measuring up! We'll come back on the way home. Absolutely recommended! Thank you!!
Nice and friendly, but on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. the kitchen was already closed…
We arrived in the evening on Pentecost, which is a public holiday in Germany. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for its day off, but the owner allowed us to stay anyway for free. We thank her for this and will definitely return because the restaurant menu looked very inviting.
Great pitch for €5 in the village. Payment at the hotel. Very friendly staff.
Very friendly welcome and excellent food at a very good price. You are parked right at the back on the left. If the bowling alley is operating, you can sleep from 10:30 p.m. onward. We didn't hear the alley at all. We would be happy to return. We called ahead and had a lovely table. Reservations are advisable on weekends.
Simple pitch in the hotel parking lot. Electricity and water are available. Very nice host. Good value for money. Monday is the day off, but restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We were there on Monday, so we cannot comment on the restaurant. The pitch is well suited for bicycle tours to the Externsteine and the Hermannsdenkmal.
