41 Rue de la Scierie, 17000, La Rochelle
Been here?
Shaded parking near the university, suitable for visiting La Rochelle, the aquarium and the Vieux-Port on foot. Parking is limited to 3h with a blue disc from Monday to Saturday, 9 to 19h, and is free outside those hours. Vans and motorhomes up to around 6m are easiest, though a 7m vehicle has also fitted. Night stays are unsuitable because of bars, restaurants, cinema activity, traffic and reported attempted vehicle intrusion.

Excellent spot, 5 minutes from the city centre and aquarium. With some manoeuvring, I managed to park a 7-metre motorhome neatly in a parking space. About ten motorhomes were already parked. Limited to 3 hours with a blue disc between 9 am and 7 pm.
Perfect for exploring the city. Shaded all day.
Very good spot close to the city and aquarium. A 5.4-metre van fits. Three hours with a blue disc is enough to visit the city.
We were able to park easily with our motorhome. The car park is paid, but it is 10 minutes from the aquarium and the old town.
Only for vans.
Perfect for visiting the city. Shaded, with many accessible spaces. A 6-metre motorhome can fit with its overhang on the green area. Blue disc for a maximum of 3 hours; free from 7 pm to 9 am. Perfect.
Perfect for visiting the city, but a bad experience overnight: an attempted break-in to the vehicles.
Convenient for visiting the city: a shaded car park with bins, free of charge and with a Carrefour nearby. However, difficult for vehicles over 6 metres. We are in a van with a trailer; only one space was suitable.
Convenient for leaving the van. Spaces are suitable up to 6 metres; if you have bicycles, put them on the grass side. You can then visit the city by bike—it is 5 minutes away.
Very good car park; just find a space suitable for your motorhome. I found a perfect space for a 7-metre by 2.30-metre motorhome.
Great car park for exploring the city. You park in the shade, and our 6-metre camper plus bike rack fit.
Excellent! Shaded and perfect for visiting the aquarium and city. No height barrier, so it is accessible to the tallest vehicles.
Excellent welcome from the owner; we had a lovely shaded pitch. Lots of games for children and a pleasant swimming pool. A minor drawback is the noise from the road and train passing next to the campsite.
