Windy beachfront site, no facilities

We have already come here for the second time. In the meantime, it is no longer officially possible to use the campsite's toilets and showers.

Absolutely lovely little spot with charm and a very pleasant atmosphere. Direct access to a very beautiful beach. About 20 minutes' walk to town. You should be self-sufficient: no electricity, toilet, or shower. Water is free.

Simply fantastic! Great pitch directly on a dog-friendly beach. We spent three weeks there. It is about a 30-minute walk to Soulac-sur-Mer, where there are various restaurants and cafés. The surf school is only five minutes away.

Simply a magnificent location, without much frills and with enough space between neighboring pitches. Entry was uncomplicated.

Very wild motorhome area with surf waves. Beautiful, long walks on the beach. The town center is very accessible, with its market. The major drawback, without wanting to cause controversy: foreign surfers in vans without toilets. Nature is not an open-air toilet; it is becoming a dump. Bring dog-waste bags and clean up.

Amazing location, if you are lucky like we were, you can park directly overlooking the beach. Beautiful beach for a dip in the sea. The village is a 10 minute cycle ride away. The pitches are roo.y enough to put out an awning. Idylic place.

Thank you to the town of Soulac for providing such a pleasant seaside area. Currently there are no services apart from gray-water drainage and a tap for domestic use. In return, access is free. Thank you.

Adequate area for one night. Free access because the water and electricity do not work. Nice sea view. Black- and gray-water dumping is possible.

Yes all good apart from the beach being closed at the moment as they've layed a pipeline and are rebuilding the beach. the next morning went for a walk to town and got back one hour after exit time, but not a problem, using the code on the qr ticket i purchased another 24hrs, so don't lose your qr ticket or it says a fine. (the royan ferry is €65 for a camping car or 221km by road)

Very nice area. The beach is difficult to access because of the construction, but there is another one 3 km away, accessible by bicycle via a cycle path. You can see a beautiful sunset and hear the waves as you fall asleep. There is no electricity, but everything else is operational.

The beach is difficult to access, but you can still enjoy a magnificent sunset. Reasonable overnight rate, with gray-water and cassette dumping. No way to refill fresh water. Very pleasant and peaceful stay.

Partially usable at this date. The pitches closest to the dune are inaccessible because of the accumulation of sand. Access to the dumping point is unavailable on Wednesday evenings because it is used as a car park. No electricity. Do not pay the stated price for water; it does not work. Cassette dumping works, and there is one water tap; bring a watering can. The price is justified by the imperfect maintenance, but at least the area exists.

The pitches at the back near the sea are covered in sand. €5.72 per day is very reasonable. Water and electricity cost about €3, which I paid, but I did not get water and took it from the tap instead. When leaving, I scanned my ticket, but the barrier did not open. I called the service, and the very friendly staff opened it remotely. Thank you.

Simple, but the most important thing is that you are truly right by the ocean. €5.50 for a camper with two people, including water and dumping. There are six campers tonight and it is quiet. When it is busier and full, it will be quite different. We are enjoying the sound of the waves, the sun, the sand under our feet, and beautiful sunsets. We feel at one with the sea and the open surroundings.

We came here in May 2024 and have returned to this area, which has no electricity but does have the other services and is ideally located on the oceanfront. Nothing to report.

Currently usable only to a limited extent: after the storms, a lot of sand has piled up, especially directly facing the sea; the electrical outlets are dead. Dream location if you like wind.

Very beautiful place, alone facing the sea. The town is 2 km away via a cycle path.

We spent a good, peaceful night. There is plenty of space and the parking area is well lit at night. We were alone with the sound of the waves. The barrier was open and not working, as were the services. However, there was a functioning water point for emergencies.

Very quiet site in a great location. Even from the second row there is sometimes a view of the sea and wonderful sunsets. Direct access to the beautiful beach, where you can walk for kilometers. The lovely town is quickly reached by bicycle. Many shops are open even now.

Why risk a fine when on September 25 I paid €4.80 per night, or €8.50 including water, with a sea view? I want more places like this. Thank you, town hall. You need a little patience to use and understand the access terminal.

Wonderful spot, parked facing the sea right at the water's edge; it is impossible to get closer. €4.80 on September 17 is a very good price, and we were rocked to sleep by the waves, feeling safe with a view of the Cordouan lighthouse. Magnificent. For those whose previous comments mention lots of sand on the pitches, go to the mountains.

Very nice area for less than €5. A little far from the village, but with a magnificent ocean view. An exceptional sunset. Do not hesitate.

Favorite motorhome stop on the French Atlantic coast. For €3, you can get a wristband at the neighboring campsite to use its sanitary facilities. One 10-minute shower is already included. All additional showers cost €3 per 10 minutes.

I used to like this area very much, but in recent years the site has deteriorated considerably. The pitches on the seafront are so full of sand that they are almost unusable, and the beach has become almost inaccessible because of coastal erosion: you have to descend a 6- or 7-meter-high wall of sand. It is a shame, but this area probably does not have much time left.

We give it three stars for the reasonable price and the location very close to the beach—it is lovely to hear the waves at night—but regarding the pitches, for us it is two stars. We are used to very different stopping areas, in nature and with plenty of space between campers. We certainly will not return.

We went there from August 13 to 14. Great spot next to the beach. Thanks to the town for this place: €9.60 for two days and one night for four people.

Beautiful site, absolutely recommended even with children! We stayed two nights and were delighted. The toilets and showers can be used at the neighboring campsite (€3 for 10-minute showers). We would gladly return! Beautiful beach directly at the site, with no walking required.

Useless for vans. The water-filling service outside the area is freely accessible with a piece of hose. Prefer the Café de la Baïne parking area in front of the skate park, where you have access to toilets. The police pass regularly, but overnight stays are tolerated. Direct access to the ocean, and Café de la Baïne is perfect for an aperitif at sunset! Respect the place!

Excellent area on the beach for spending a few days. Ten minutes by bicycle from the town center and supermarket. You can buy a wristband to use the showers at the adjacent campsite. It is a shame there is no electricity, but otherwise we had a good stay. Excellent value for money. Thanks to the municipality.

Wonderful area at a price that beats all competition! Many thanks to the municipality and the employees who maintain the services every day. The pitches are small and makeshift, but only 30 meters from the sea—what more could you ask for? It is a shame that some motorhomes stay permanently; the limit should be 96 hours. We will definitely return!

The pitch is a little small but close to the sea and quiet. The beach is below, and you need to walk about 50 meters to reach a supervised swimming area. A 15-minute walk from the charming center. Be careful when you leave the site permanently: you can no longer access the water if you reserved it. Recommended for the price and location!

I give two stars for the location, which is great. The rest is terrible: no services, vehicles parked haphazardly because there are no restrictions, and tree branches scratch the motorhome.
