Trekvogelweg, 1316, Almere
Been here?
This attractive campsite sits on a recreational area beside an inland lake, with paved pitches and grass, large parcels and plenty of surrounding nature. Sanitary facilities are clean, and there are playgrounds, a boules court, bread service and a good restaurant. The waterfront is scenic, but many geese leave droppings there, making sitting or swimming difficult. Occasional loud music from a party boat and campers can continue until 23:00.

Hi, we arrived today and, thanks to the friendly woman at reception, were able to take our pitch as early as 11 a.m.! That gave us the whole day for cycling. The site is great and the staff extremely friendly; we are delighted with the entire site! The food in the restaurant was also delicious. We will come back.Translating
Beautifully laid out. Large pitches. Clean sanitary facilities. Playgrounds and a pétanque court available. Friendly welcome. Lots of geese. On the one hand they are cute, but on the other, the beautiful waterfront is covered in droppings. Relaxing, sitting, lying down, or swimming by the water is therefore difficult or impossible. We drove to Almere beach for swimming.Translating
Very nice. The sanitary facilities are perfect in summer, but probably marginal for colder days. It would be even nicer without the seasonal campers. Some think they own the place. Bread service and a nice restaurant; overall, the site is very beautiful.Translating
What an amazing site with a very unique shape surrounded by water, very peaceful and lots of nature. Restaurant is very good and would definitely recommend their theme nights. pitches are large.
We do not know how to get in. Please help. Thank you.Translating
It has everything a camper could want. We just could not find the button to turn off the wind :-)Translating
Good sanitary facilities, large pitches, good and tasty restaurant at a reasonable price. The only downside was the party boat playing extremely loud music all afternoon, in a nature reserve of all places!Translating
We stayed here for two days. The site is circular. We had a pitch right at the end, number 155, so it was very quiet. Some of the sanitary facilities are outdoors, which can be unpleasant in cold weather, but they are very clean. The reception is friendly and the restaurant is beautifully located by the water. We liked it.Translating
Very well-maintained site with clean sanitary facilities, bread service, and a restaurant. Friendly staff who also speak German. Negative: dominated by seasonal campers, with loud music until 11 p.m. We were told by phone that it was full, but a pitch was bookable online. The focus is more on permanent residents than travelers.Translating
Beautiful and clean campsite, although a little expensive. Toilets and showers are available. Beautifully situated by the water, and you can take a nice tour around the lakes using the cycle-route network. Bar and restaurant available.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet, and clean site in a great location by the water. Nice restaurant overlooking the lake. Good value for money; gladly return :-)Translating
We spent a good night at Waterhout while passing through. The campsite makes a good impression and the location is very beautiful, with water all around. We found the toilet facilities particularly clean and well maintained.Translating
We were here with a motorhome. Excellent, spacious pitches for motorhomes, beautiful sanitary facilities, and a wonderful surrounding area. Almere pleasantly surprised us.Translating
Beautiful location by the water. Well-stocked supermarket just under 2 km away. Nice café/restaurant with good value for money; dogs are also allowed inside. SUP rental for €12.50 per hour, a great price and a wonderful experience. Toilets are outside. Shower is very dark, but clean and hot. Many geese. Staff also speak German or English.Translating
I would give even more stars. The location is sensational, the people are super friendly, and everything is very orderly and clean. €28.50 for one night: van, one person, and dog. Electricity, Wi-Fi, and water at the pitch included. Beautifully arranged in circles, with water all around. Bread rolls can be ordered. There is goose droppings everywhere, of course—they live here—but it does not bother me.Translating
Perfect site with only minor limitations. Toilet open. Price too high! Otherwise everything is great: grass, super friendly staff, everything very clean, wonderful surroundings, bread service, restaurant with ice cream. Go-karts can be rented for children. Canoes and SUPs available for rent. No fence by the water at the large playground! Small playground in the center. Otherwise everything is excellent!Translating
The site is very beautiful. Unfortunately, we first had to clear goose droppings from our pitch. After that, everything was fine and we had a wonderful view of the lake. The toilets are outdoors, which was uncomfortable at times in April when temperatures were below 10°C, but I think it is good in summer. Showers were good and clean, and the staff were friendly.Translating
Very beautiful, tidy campsite. The pitches are arranged excellently and are large. We drove there on spec and were given a very friendly welcome.Translating
Very busy site with lots of seasonal pitches - no indication of this when you book a pitch so we were unfortunate to be amongst these and lots of barking dogs . Had a meal in the brasserie but did not rate the food or service , very pricey . Disappointing stay
We arrived spontaneously and were given a very friendly welcome. Great location in the middle of nature. We liked it very much.Translating
Nice site for a stopover. Friendly staff. Delicious restaurant. Some pitches are among seasonal campers. Unfortunately, some of the seasonal campers' dogs were running loose, which was stressful for the other dogs on leashes at times.Translating
Beautiful site right by the water! Very friendly staff.Translating
Very friendly staff; several pitches were still available when we arrived. Very quiet and well-maintained site. All pitches are very large! Playground for children. Boats, SUPs, and bicycles can be rented. Bread service available. I would gladly come again!
A very beautiful campsite with very friendly staff. We stayed for two nights with two people in the motorhome area and slept very well. One star deducted for the sanitary facilities. Everything was clean, but there were only outdoor toilets and no proper sink, let alone soap or a towel, to wash your hands after using the toilet. Otherwise, everything was excellent!
Great site in a uniquely beautiful location. Very generous pitches arranged in a circle. Grass with embedded grid plates provides good stability. Everything is impeccably maintained and attractively laid out. A good mix of motorhomes and caravans creates a spacious atmosphere. Before getting out, you should spray yourself with insect repellent, because the mosquitoes are already waiting with bibs on :-) Pure nature!
