This is a simple paved parking area suitable for visiting Piatra Craiului, where overnight stays are possible. It is quieter than the hiking parking area, although there is some summer road traffic and bus movement. The area has good 4G, while the valley has no signal, and streetlights stand on one side.

Good spot, much quieter than the hiking parking area, where there is traffic on this road in summer. There is good 4G reception, unlike in the valley, where there is no signal. The streetlights are on one side and out of service, and there is a little traffic from buses using the parking area, but nothing disturbing.
“Beautiful” place, but level, illuminated, and monitored by cameras. I stayed here for one night and felt safe before setting off to climb to the hut.
A parking area on the edge of town. Not particularly beautiful, but free. The picnic area farther up is crowded and dusty in summer; if you want to avoid that, this is the right place. We did not stay overnight here.
