Daytime parking, overnight forbidden

A sloping picnic-area parking spot beside the road and below the Senhora da Penha chapel. The chapel is at 710m and is reached by stairs, with superb views over Castelo de Vide and the surrounding area, including Estrela Mountain to the N. Picnic tables, seats and a fountain are available. Overnight stays are forbidden because the area is within Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede.
