3A An der Krombachtalsperre, 35759, Driedorf
Been here?
A campsite with separate motorhome pitches, sanitary facilities and partial views over Krombachtalsperre. The pitches are terraced and noticeably sloping, while the adjacent Italian pizzeria is friendly and highly regarded. Dogs are welcome, although access to the water is restricted for them. Bread service is available, and the sanitary facilities are older but clean.

We paid €44 for one night: one motorhome with two adults and two small dogs. Eight euros for electricity and ten euros for two small poodle mixes. We were placed at the far end of the campsite. It was extremely sloped and terraced. Dogs were also absolutely prohibited by the water. That was our first and last visit.
The site is worth three stars. You stay on sloping grassy areas behind a parking lot for passing campers. The seasonal campers occupy a relatively poorly maintained, sloping meadow. The view is fairly beautiful and peaceful, suitable for families and couples. Dogs are welcome.
We stayed here for two nights. The lake view is great, but it does not justify the price, especially when you look at the sanitary facilities. The site is rather run-down. They really cash in on electricity here: €14 for two nights. Next time we will go somewhere else.
We were there on August 12, 2023. The grounds were uneven and muddy; €31 was too expensive for two people, a panel van, and a dog. We will not return.
We stayed for one night in continuous rain. The sanitary building is old but clean. The operators were very friendly. The site is probably lovely in good weather. What particularly annoyed me was that we were charged €8 for electricity for one night. If that is not reduced, they will never see us again.
We stayed there for one night on October 1. Everything was as previously described, although you should check the campsite's website for fees; we were supposed to pay €30.50 for one night with electricity. The sanitary facilities were clean, although one men's shower was broken. The restaurant was closed. We will not return.
Beautiful site with a great view of the reservoir. Friendly welcome. Bread roll service with really delicious rolls. The Italian restaurant on site is highly recommended. Showers cost €0.50 for four minutes. We paid a flat rate of €10.50 for electricity for three nights, plus €2 for the electrical connection. We thought that was cheeky—we plugged the connector in ourselves after all.
Green waste is burned here on the beach, as happened on September 8, 2021. Swimming fun looks different. Smoke completely covers the lake and beach. There are many permanent campers here. For a short holiday, only a small part of a meadow to the right before the actual entrance is available, and it is fenced. The meadow is not level; you need leveling blocks. The kiosk has been gone since 2021—it was demolished.
