Been here?
A wild spot with stunning mountain and blue-lake views, offering two relatively flat plateaus: an upper area of 8x12 meters and a lower area more suitable for a tent. A small pond, minimal stream of uncertain drinkability, picnic tables, and a BBQ are below; the site is shaded early and in full sun during the afternoon and evening. It is 15 minutes from Embrun, but the final 1km of track is badly rutted and rocky, so arrive from the right and drive carefully.

We arrived from the wrong side: winding road, and especially the remaining 1 km of track is completely wrecked. It is passable, but I would not do it again. Arrive from the right, not the left; I strongly advise against it, as it could damage your vehicle.
Fantastic view, undisturbed night's sleep, flat enough for a camper van (Renault Kangoo), and the final stretch of road is bumpy with stones but manageable for most cars (perhaps less so after heavy rain).
Pretty view, flat, 4G, intimate, starting/finishing point for hikes, so some pedestrians pass by in the morning.
An incredible, peaceful spot with an unobstructed view. Sunset and waking up were close to perfect ✨ Nature and the most beautiful things it offers, simply. Space for one van.
Great spot, the view is magnificent; take it slowly on the road. Keep the place clean.
Great spot with a view of the lake. Flat and quiet place.
Quiet place; we were alone, and what a magnificent view! We loved it. However, take the gravel road slowly because it is damaged at the beginning. Beware: livestock guardian dogs were there guarding a flock and chased after the van.
I’m giving it 5 stars even though I didn’t stay: there were too many flies, horseflies and small flying insects. Within an hour I had loads of them in the van. Otherwise, a really lovely place.
Great peaceful spot with a view of the lake and Morgon!
