1 Via Platz, 39044, Egna
Been here?
An asphalt parking area near Egna, useful for a short stop and limited to 72 hours. The current minimum price is 15€ for 24h, with no hourly payment, and electricity, wastewater disposal, and potable water are unavailable. The site is clean and about two minutes from the A22 exit, with a supermarket 100 m away. Noise from nearby trucks and traffic can disturb overnight stays.

Since there is nothing better in the area for a short overnight stop, I give it 2 stars, but it would be 0. Minimum rate €15 for 24 hours; you cannot pay by the hour. There is a sign saying that electricity, wastewater disposal, and drinking water are temporarily unavailable, so there is nothing, but the full rate is still charged. A bit noisy; it would be fine for one night with hourly payment.
Attention! The hourly rate is no longer valid; minimum €15 for 24 hours! We stopped for lunch to break up the journey: two minutes from the A22 exit, clean and well maintained, and I think it is quiet at night too. Wastewater disposal is closed by an iron plate; water is available. A 220V hookup is also available, though I did not verify it. A well-stocked MPreis supermarket is 200 meters away.
Fine for one night. Anyone wanting campsite services should go to a campsite. No electricity or gray-water disposal, but toilet service, water, and garbage disposal are available. Supermarket and small park with toilet and playground nearby. South Tyrolean regional politics. Unfortunately.
The site now costs €15 for 24 hours, and there is neither electricity nor filling or emptying facilities. In other words, since January 2026, €5 more for less service. Exactly my kind of humor. It was a quiet place for one night, and there is a great playground nearby, which was excellent for the children.
Worthless place! The only thing that works is the payment machine! They raise the price from 10 to 15 but can't be bothered to get anything else working. I parked in the lot next door.
We have already stayed here several times. The site is clean and, in our view, good and safe. The filling and emptying facilities are still not working. We did not need electricity. The town is easily accessible and quite pleasant.
Unfortunately a disappointment. No electricity, no water, no toilets. Instead, every 30 minutes there is a terribly loud humming from the truck parking area next door. €15 for nothing, and constantly being jolted awake.
The location is fine. You can set out on hikes directly from there. However, noises disturbed me all night, either from the trucks parked nearby or from another constantly running pump. The sound of running water did not bother me.
The site is good for one night. Unfortunately, the electricity does not work, just as it did not last year. You can hear the motorway, but it is okay. Supermarket 100 meters away.
Well, it is okay for an undemanding overnight stay. Asphalt means no mud in rainy weather. Garbage disposal was available today for aluminum, plastic, and residual waste. Tank emptying should also work.
Only took it because we were passing through: all services out of order, but €15 is outrageous, South Tyrol is going downhill.
Now €15 and without any services for years. At least that has made the site unpopular. I am standing here alone.
Positives: close to the town of Neumarkt; close to hiking and excursion opportunities by camper; cycling opportunities; possible to walk the dog in town; very good mobile coverage; asphalt surface; quiet at night. Negatives: overnight fee increased from €10 to €15 as of 01/01/2026; still no electricity, filling or emptying facilities, or garbage bin.
We arrived here today and did not want to look for another site because of the time. Unfortunately, the price has been increased to €15 per 24 hours. But what I think is completely unacceptable is that for this price there is no electricity and no filling or emptying facilities. Disappointing!
The parking area is empty and the machine does not issue the tickets needed to enter.
The site is completely empty; the barrier is green but does not open.
€10 for 24 hours, but without filling or emptying facilities, water, or electricity, so it is somewhat expensive. The full 24 hours are always charged even if you leave earlier. The parking area is slightly sloping.
Site okay, road noise acceptable. Very loud because of the adjacent truck parking area, where two trucks with refrigeration units ran all night. There is still no tariff table. We paid €10 for 12 hours overnight and apparently could have stayed for 24 hours. Electricity and gray-water disposal are out of service.
Unfortunately, the barrier says the site is full. At least 3 spaces are free. We are standing outside. It is 12:30 a.m. and I do not want to move anymore.
The site is still without electricity and filling/emptying facilities. Perhaps a reduced rate could have been offered. MPreis supermarket very close by. As a one-night stop, it is completely fine. Thanks to the great technician who answered the phone at 5:30 a.m., even though his shift did not start until 8 a.m., and enabled us to exit despite the faulty terminal. Five stars for that.
Not a nice place. Parking spaces occupied by cars and small trucks. We drove away again.
Place currently without water or electricity, but usable. The site was built in 2023, yet the pitches are sloping. Fine for one night while passing through. Traffic and the humming of the refrigeration units in the adjacent truck parking area are clearly audible. One picnic table. Swimming nearby, reachable on foot.
Currently no services. Site closed.
Hardly anyone here, nice place. The bins could be bigger, and you wonder why the electricity does not work. Toilet disposal is possible, though. You feel safe here.
The place was full when we arrived. Like many others, we spent one night in the parking area directly in front. If you leave early in the morning, you can surely stand there. The place itself makes a good, though not particularly attractive, impression. The humming of the refrigerated trucks is a little annoying, but bearable for one night.
This time not all spaces were occupied. Well located, but quite noisy because of the river, refrigerated trucks in the adjacent parking area, and roads all around. No water or waste services, no electricity. What a shame.
Rest area with about ten spaces on asphalt. Equipped with a service point, electricity (neither currently available), and rubbish bins. It is sheltered from the road, but unfortunately there is a trailer depot next to the rest area, some of whose trailers have refrigeration units that can be very annoying at night. The €10 fee is not justified by the unavailable services and should be reduced accordingly.
Currently out of operation.
We did not stop because as of 21/3/25 it only functions as a parking area costing €10 per day, without any services, as stated on the sign at the entrance. Hopefully the services will be restored soon.
A little noisy because of the nearby road, stream, and trucks, but in a strategic location as a stopover.
Nice little place. You feel safe. From 7.5 m onward, the spaces are already quite full. Toilet emptying is possible. Apparently everything else has not worked for quite some time. We liked it.
